This welcoming two-bedroom, two-bath apartment offers visitors convenient access to all that Charleston has to offer. Located on the third floor of a historic Charleston single home built in the late 1800s, and set back from the street with off-street parking, the apartment overlooks candy-colored historic homes that dot the neighborhood and provides a true Charleston experience for guests. Easily walkable to MUSC, College of Charleston, King Street’s most popular retail and restaurants, & more.

The apartment recently underwent a full renovation, completed in spring 2018. Measuring around 700 square feet, the apartment offers two bedrooms featuring premium bedding and two en-suite bathrooms with shower. Thoughtful care has been put into crafting a clean and efficient space that offers all of the amenities of a boutique hotel (bath products, high-end towels and linens, hair dryers, iron, wi-fi, premium TV channels, etc.) with the added convenience of a full, chef-ready kitchen, washer/dryer, and a classic Charleston single-style porch for enjoying the nearly year-round comfortable temperatures Charleston offers its visitors. The property allows for two off-street parking spaces in a private parking lot located across from the apartment. This apartment is on the top floor of the three-story property. The home features two additional rentals - one, a garden level apartment, and the other on the first floor - that can be rented in conjunction with this apartment for larger groups. Please inquire if interested.

This apartment is ideally located in a protected historic district in the middle of downtown, a 5 minute walk to Upper King Street, surrounded by incredible restaurants and shopping. Walk or uber anywhere downtown in minutes or grab an uber to one of the three island beaches that are only 15 minutes away.

We are only 3 blocks from Upper King Street, so most guests prefer to walk and explore the city. The beach is 15 minutes away by car. There is also a free shuttle offered by the city that runs along King Street (3 blocks away) to popular stops. Bike rentals are available nearby or you might enjoy trying a pedicab taxi.

Hidden Gem in Charleston

I booked the upper unit for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. Everything exceeded my expectations. The level of care put into every detail is outstanding. I loved having my morning coffee on the porch. It very much felt like a private enclave, tucked away from the downtown, but still in walking distance to all you need. Definitely dine at the adorable restaurant on the property and order a sandwich from the eatery called Ladels below the main house. I will definitely be back. It’s rare for a rental property to make me feel as though I’m “home” while traveling. Thank you!

World Class Property

I often stay at VRBO properties and this property is top-notich. It is obvious that the property owners are experienced property owners and the property is used for retnals only (no personal items or clutter). Every detail is perfect. The location is great; however, you can hear noise at night, but noise machines are availbale in each room. No parking available at the property, but super easy parking available across the street. The property actually has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, not two as advertisied. Highly recommend--awesome property.

Historical Hideaway!

We loved staying in this home! It was everything and more that we wanted. It was close enough to within walking distance from everything, yet far enough away to give us privacy. It was amazing and beautiful and we will stay there again! Thank you, George and gang for such a beautiful and wonderful experience!

Lovely and welcoming

The place was really beautifully renovated, clean and great for our group of 4. I choose owner rentals for the kitchen and amenities over hotels and this one worked well. The only thing I would recommend is to be very clear on parking which was confusing and awkward. Other than that Morgan was extremely helpful and took great care to make sure we got settled in. We want to come back.
