Welcome to Pretty in the Pines!! This NEW, 1200 sq. ft., 1BR/1Bath cabin was thoughtfully and strategically designed for the ultimate couple’s getaway. Nestled amongst towering pines just adjacent to Ouachita National Forest, you’ll feel the complete seclusion of the mountains while only being minutes from everything Hochatown/Broken Bow has to offer.

Paved roads lead you to the cabin’s large circle drive. As you enter the front door, you’ll be greeted by the open concept kitchen, dining and living room layout. Large panoramic windows and vaulted ceilings filter in the perfect amount of natural sunlight. The shiplap interior, wooden beams and granite countertops add to the cabin’s modern design.

The private master suite offers plenty of space with a luxurious King bed with Tempur-pedic mattress that you’ll sink into and never want to get out of. Black-out curtains and a sound machine are an added touch, just in case you decide to sleep in. The master suite’s double French doors lead you to the spacious and private back deck. Get cozy on the outdoor sectional while reading your favorite book or watching a movie on the Samsung smart tv that hangs above the outdoor stone fireplace. Take in the nature as you watch the many deer that leisurely walk through the back yard on a daily basis.

Conveniently located minutes away from Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park, you’re sure to find any adventure you’re looking for. Hiking, kayaking, trout fishing, horseback riding or zip lining through the tree tops and across the lake are just some of the many activities available. A visit to the wineries, breweries and great restaurants, many with live music, are a must!

After returning from a long day of hiking the countless miles of trails, spending time on the lake or playing a round of golf at Cedar Creek Golf Course, unwind by turning on the outdoor string lights and soaking in the large hot tub. Pretty in the Pines was built with our guests in mind. With propane hard lined into the Weber gas grill, you’ll never have to worry about running out of propane while grilling. As the sun sets, light a fire in the wood burning fire pit to enjoy some s’mores and then simply get lost star gazing into the pitch-black sky!

Kitchen was great. Only complaint was that there was no ceiling fan in living room and outdoor TV was not usable. Cushions need to be replaced but we still enjoyed the porch. Nice cabin!

The fireplace did not work! I visit a cabin to enjoy a fire! When that does not work then the visit is lost on me.I called the host to ask for assistance and he offered some suggestions but when those did not work, he and then ghosted my texts.Back stairs need sweeping, outdoor furniture needs work and the indoor couch is stained.

Clay, I will attempt to address your concerns once again. Per your request, I talked with you multiple times over the phone starting two months prior to your visit and even extending beyond your visit. I apologize once again that the pilot light on one of the fireplaces was out. You were never "ghosted" as I talked to you several times on the phone and even said I could send someone out to light it (I did miss your call after 11pm). I personally visited the cabin afterwards and did see a stain on the sofa. We have since hired a company that came out to steam clean the entire sofa. We also have new patio furniture since one of the cushions was torn from the winter weather. I'm really not sure about your comment regarding the firepit being untidy? I don't see any issues to address from your picture. It's literally just an area to burn firewood that is surrounded by stones. Regarding some pine straw on the back steps, the cabin is located in the National Forest and surrounding pine trees drop their needles constantly this time of year, even though it's swept before every guest arrives. It's just part of nature! Since trees lose their leaves in the fall/winter, you can see a couple of surrounding cabins. The entire area is like this. Luckily, once we get leaves back, you can't see any cabins!! Once again, we're sorry to hear that we didn't seem to meet your expectations as we have for our past guests. We take pride in being privately owned and providing our guests with the best experience possible. With that being said, we did correct a couple of your valid concerns, but also hope you realize that we can't control nature. It's certainly nice to get away from the city life and into some fresh air every now and then! Take Care!

Because it’s holidays, decorations would have helped with atmosphere. Pretty boring as is. Remove stains on couch, several windows and both doors have no privacy shades. Need to check fireplace heating elements. We had to turn off the fireplace because the smell of burning propane was very strong and gave us headaches..

We're sorry that you didn't have the experience you were looking for during your stay. We've never had a rating from any previous guest like this, but will try our best to address your issues/concerns. We typically decorate leading up to Christmas, but not for New Years. Not sure if you were still wanting Christmas decor up at that time, but arrangements have to be made to put up/take down decorations according to the cabin booking schedule. Windows in the cabin have curtains and some doors have built in blinds. Yes, there is partial glass on the front door that doesn't have a blind/curtain, but those types of doors never do. We're really sorry if you were sensitive to any propane smells. The propane company actually did their yearly inspection the week before and the cleaners cleaned the property several hours before your arrival and didn't mention anything noticeable, even after we contacted them with your concern. Since your response was "everything's good" when we checked in with you, we thought everything was good. Again, sorry we didn't meet your complete expectations.

Great Cabin and Host
