Quiet lake front home with private beach

Looking for a quiet, lake front home with a private beach for your getaway? Look no further than the Hideaway. With handicap access and an open floorplan, the Hideaway has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to provide ample space for your family. The large deck and backyard make it the perfect space for outdoor activities as well. Use one of our kayaks (or bring your own) out on the lake, go fishing, build a bonfire or just sit on the dock and enjoy the view.

Located in Northville, on the “Little Lake”, you can enjoy the water without the bustle of motorized boats. The Hideaway is just a minutes drive from the shops and restaurants of the village.

The Great Sacandaga Lake is just down the street as well. You can launch your motorized boat or jet ski at the Northville Public Boat Launch, which is 3 miles away. Or you can rent a boat from one of the local marinas.

During the summer months, if you enjoy horse racing, gambling and outdoor concert events, Saratoga is about 40 minutes from the village.

The Hideaway is also a great place to stay during the winter months! With an outdoor spa, indoor wood stove and backup generator, you won’t have to worry about being stuck in the cold at The Hideaway. Enjoy a vast area for snowmobiling (our driveway has lots of space for a truck and trailer), cross country skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. That being said, our road is private and gravel. Therefore it is privately maintained. Our contractor does the best he can but given our road is not public and we are in the Adirondack’s, do not expect it to be perfect. We do provide shovels and salt for the walkways should it snow during your stay and our contractor will plow/sand the driveway. But if you are not comfortable driving in snowy and potentially icy conditions, our home may not be the best option for you.

Large open family room/DR/kitchen across back of house was great for whole family to gather and enjoy. Large bedrooms and baths. Outside space is great! Covered deck, hot tub, fire pit patio and dock on lake with chairs. Enjoyed kayaking and sitting out on nice day.

Wonderful vacation

We really enjoyed our laid back vacation at this home. So nice to have paddleboats and kayaks come with the house. Enjoyed the firepit every night we could and pleased to find firewood included. Very quiet neighborhood as well. Highly recommend.

Property had everything we needed and more. Check out process was simple and easy, made us feel good about paying a cleaning fee! Property was beautiful and peaceful, owner was very responsive.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Comfortable accommodations set in peaceful private surrounding with lakeside access, views and serenity. Fishing, swimming and kayaking provided a fulfilling outdoor experience, with quaint town of Northville just minutes away!

Adirondack lake cottage

Cottage had ALL AMENITIES COVERED WE wE WE FORGOT TO BRING SUGAR - IT WAS THERE, WE HAD A REQUEST FOR CEREAL - IT WAS THERE…We could go on and on everything was provided, including kayaks and paddle boats. Birds, dear, and all kinds of wildlife were seen. Weather was beautiful while there. We highly recommend this VRBO selection.

Excellent Place to Stay

Nothing bad to say about this location, great property right on the lake and not a long drive from the ski slopes. Cleaned and well equipped kitchen, good water pressure and a hot water heater that could handle 9 showers in an evening. Also the owner mentions in the check in instructions to bring an AWD car if you're coming in the winter and you should heed this advice.

The Lake Girls Annual Getaway

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location for our group of six retired women. The house was well stocked with kitchen items, linens, paper products and soaps. The kitchen, eating area and living room were very large and convenient for our group to prepare food, chat, watch tv and just relax. The setting is just beautiful and very peaceful. The owner was very friendly and easily reached by text. We hope to be back next summer.

Great place to stay!!

Extremely happy with our stay at The Hideaway! The house was very nice, clean and well stocked. The owners really thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Also, loved the open floor plan. The back bedroom was perfect for the grandchildren. They had a quiet place to chill when they got tired. Everyone had fun swimming off the dock and using the paddle boat and kayak. Location was great. A grocery store, Stewarts, and a few restaurants were minutes away. Will definitely rent this property again!

Gorgeous Home

We had a very lovely and relaxing time. The weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked and the amount of rain this year made the backyard unusable, but it was nice to just sit and relax on the back porch and dock. My kids had a blast kayaking and peddle boating daily. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook daily. It was the perfect way to end summer vacation.

Relaxing Vacation!!!!

Our family had a fantastic time here. The house and the property were well maintained and exactly as described. The house was very well stocked with extra's that you normally would not see in rentals. The kids had an amazing time jumping and swimming from the dock, the beach area was private and secluded and the fishing was amazing. We caught over 70 fish including Bass, Rainbow Trout and Perch. We enjoyed the kayaks/paddle boat. I can say without a doubt this was the best vacation spot ever. Thank you for sharing your home and your hospitality. We look forward to coming back.

Great spot for a winter getaway

We (family of 3) stayed here with a friend's family of four for a long holiday weekend. The house was incredibly clean, instructions were clear as a bell, and the bedrooms were a perfect setup (with two really well-designed bathrooms, one en suite and one in the hallway.) We skiied for two days at the Lapland Lake XC center, only 20 minutes away, and got provisions at the Tops and the JF Farm Market in Northville. Only cautionary note is to use care on the private road to the home in snowy conditions - although it was plowed each day. Great place - we're already thinking about running the same play next year.

A relaxing and quiet stay!

My family had a great time at this home. We had 6 adults and 2 kids which worked perfectly with the sleeping arrangements. The home is quietly tucked away in the woods (note- it is a dirt road!) The dock was perfect for relaxing, fishing, or jumping in the water. We chose not to walk directly into the water as it had a lot of lily pads and deep mud. The deck in the back was great for anytime of the day with a relaxing view of the water. The kitchen appliances were very dirty upon arrival and under the couch was dirty... but other than that, everything else was clean! Overall, my family had a great time staying here and we were all sad to leave!

The Hideaway in Northville

We came to the Hideaway for a family cross-country skiing trip - Lapland XC Ski Center is only 20 minutes from this charming and cozy, spacious home, that was absolutely perfect for our two families (4 adults and 5 teenagers 13-17yrs old). The wonderful dining table allowed us great meals together, along with very fun games with everyone! The fireplace was easy to run, and lent a great ambience with the snow and ice outside. The kitchen was well-appointed and stocked with every that we needed to make our meals. The hot tub was absolutely perfect after a day of skiing - it was terrific. The beds were super comfortable, and it was great to not have to bring our own linens - there was plenty for all of us. We love the winter and skiing, but were picturing how perfect this house would be in the summer too, with the lake at your doorstep. Highly recommend this lovely property! We are already looking forward to next year!

Amazing, newly renovated home

This is a great find. The house is right on a small lake within minutes of the quaint town of Northville. Very comfortable and beautifully renovated by the owners. They were very responsive anytime we messaged with questions.

Beautiful and well appointed

Our stay at this place was so much fun! We enjoyed the lake for hours at a time, the yard was good for our badminton set, and the house met all our needs. The kitchen had everything we needed and many extras. It was lovely having such nice towels and sheets provided. Communication with our host was quick and helpful and kind. We would love to stay here again except our family keeps getting larger. Highly recommend for others!
