We found this place to be a gem, it worked perfectly for our stay. We were in town for a family wedding nearby in Blowing rock and this place was far enough off the beaten path to relax after a busy day but very close to all the amenities you would need and centrally located for exploring the surrounding mountains which we found amazing! Check in /out was simple, communication with the hosts was great, lightning fast and enjoyable. It’s obvious Sherri and Rick take pride in their cabin and want to provide an enjoyable experience for their guests. Without a doubt Creekside cabin would be where we will stay when we return to the area, thanks for a memorable family stay!

This was a wonderful stay! I received check-in information in a timely manner. Checking in and out was a breeze. This is a precious cabin, and it was absolutely spotless. Tucked in the trees, with a bubbling creek below, almost has a treehouse feel. We enjoyed the covered porches with provided rocking chairs, tables and chairs. There were lots of places to sit outside. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit but just had too much going on to make a fire or take advantage of the grill. The owner has this house so well stocked, there was nothing we needed that they hadn't already thought of! I had mentioned we were celebrating a birthday, and a small cake/decorations were there when we arrived. What a wonderful surprise! House is conveniently situated to downtown Boone, and neighboring communities, but would honestly just love to stay here, listen to the creek, watch the birds and just unwind! Highly recommend

The Creekside Cabin is perfect! It was exactly as described and a perfect place for our getaway to the mountains. Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. Sherry and Rick were very helpful with all of our questions and we appreciated the open communication. The host were great! The cabin was very clean and everything was in great condition. They had cookies waiting for us and everything ready for us to use the fire pit and make s’mores. It is in a great location that allowed us to explore many sites in just 2 days. We would love to stay again!

It was a cute cabin with a stream in the back. The owners were great at communicating with me. We saw deer and some turkeys around the area. It was a great place to stay.

The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We couldn’t have asked for better communication and understanding in a family matter that required us to reschedule our stay. Prior to arrival , the host was in contact to let us know the drive had been cleared of snow and salted. And upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm and cozy cabin complete with homemade cookies!

Excellent as always, this was our 4th or 5th time staying and we have two more trips booked for this year. Convenient to everything in Boone. I like to think the homemade cookies are just for us, but I’m sure you will get some also.

Sherry has lived in Boone since 1991 and Rick since 2000. We purchased Creekside Cabin in September 2020 and have enjoyed making it into a cozy cabin for our guests to enjoy. We love the High-Country area and all the outdoor adventures it offers. Feel free to contact us before and during your stay if you’d like recommendations for hiking, kayaking, dining, or other activities in the area. We look forward to hosting you for your stay!

Why they chose this property

We also live on Howard's Creek and love the area. We wanted to purchase the cabin becaue of it's proximity to our home so we can use it for when our 5 children and their families come to visit in addition to being close by to be responsive to our guests.

What makes this property unique

The key feature of this property is the proximity to the creek so guests can enjoy the relaxing sounds and sights offered by the creek. Two large back decks, partially covered and partially open allow you to enjoy the creek rain or shine. The cabin is on a 2 acre parcel so there is lots of room for accessing the creek and exploring the wooded area. The inside of the cabin is cozy with a gas log fireplace, comfortable beds with down duvets and crisp linens. The cabin is located only 5 minutes from a major grocery store, 10 minutes from downtown Boone and 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, but it has the feel of a remote get-a-way!
