Nestled at the edge of town, the Best of Both Abode is a place where country comforts complement hometown convenience. Deep discounts during the off season make this an ideal time to get away. Visit with family or friends, enjoy a romantic weekend, go ice fishing when Keuka Lake freezes, or just relax and enjoy the wineries. Our home is truly an ideal location to experience all the Finger Lakes Region has to offer in every season. We know you'll fall in love and want to come back again soon. Please send us a message about special rates for traveling workers.


As per local law we are required to present the following policy statement to renters prior to occupancy:
Maximum occupancy: 6 guests
Maximum on-site parking: 3 vehicles
Parking is not permitted on the street or on unpaved yard.
Emergency contact is by 911.
Good neighbor statement:
-Renters should be conscious of residents in neighboring homes.
-Vehicular traffic should not be greater than normally expected in the neighborhood.
-No excessive music or other noise, fumes, glare, or vibrations generated during use.
-Outdoor events are to be held between the hours of 10 AM and 10 PM and be a one-day occurrence. (Please note the host policy does not allow events at this location.)
-Activities shall be in compliance with noise regulations.
-Littering is prohibited.
-All fires must be attended and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Minnie's home was warm and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice spacious back deck & attached garage for easy unloading, especially in the cold. TV and wifi worked well, and 2 bathrooms are always a plus. Minnie always responded almost immediately to any message. We highly recommend and will definitely stay again

Great, Centralized and out of the hustle and bustle

We loved our stay. - this place was perfect for us. It is centralized to all the wineries and between Seneca Lake and another one. We were very pleased with everything and the host had Minnie has great communication.

Great getaway spot

We spent the weekend with friends. The three bedroom was immaculate and quite comfortable. It was an easy drive to many must see locations. Out only complain was the window air conditioning units were a tad noisy and made for loud conversations during dinner. Otherwise an awesome stay.

Thank you for the feedback. The window air conditioner for that section of the house must be installed in the dining room window. We do encourage guests to adjust the window air conditioners to their comfort, but perhaps it is worth noting here, they can also be adjusted for a quieter fan setting as needed. Overall, though, we are glad that you found the house clean and comfortable. Simpler Time Country Cottage is a wonderful location for visiting so many of the must-see places in the Finger Lakes area.

We had a great stay! The house was exactly as described. Minnie was very nice and very responsive to questions. In addition to the firewood, there were several other little extras that made our stay that much more pleasant. We would highly recommend a stay at this location!

Perfect for us!

I rented this house for 6 adults and one toddler, for a long weekend for a family wedding. The house was clean and comfortable. The host thought of everything. There was a pack and play, a booster seat and kids toys . There were board games, puzzles, and smart tvs for the grown ups. In the linen closet there were new toiletries for kids and adults in case you forgot anything. The kitchen is well stocked with basic pantry items. A very comfortable stay, thank you for sharing your house with us
