Welcome Guide- One week prior to arrival, a digital welcome book will be sent via email and text message. It will have your special door code, address, items provided, and much more great info to help you prepare for your trip!

Access to Yosemite and Nearby Attractions- Yosemite National Park, like many others across the United States, has implemented a reservation system in recent years to manage visitor numbers effectively. Since this home is located INSIDE Yosemite National Park, you will NOT NEED a separate entrance reservation, only proof of your lodging reservation (please see official park website for details). We highly recommend that visitors planning a trip to Yosemite stay informed by regularly checking the National Parks websites and affiliated sources for any updates regarding the reservation system. While we strive to provide our guests with an exceptional experience, it's important to note that access to Yosemite or nearby attractions cannot be guaranteed, especially during peak seasons. By staying informed and flexible, visitors can better navigate their travel plans and make the most out of their trip to this beautiful region.

Kitchen- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team leaves out salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray. Friends, family, and other guests sometimes leave spices, aluminum foil or ziploc bags at the home. You are most welcome to use any of these items, but if something is particularly crucial to the success of your meals, we do recommend bringing it along with you.

Linens- Our vacation homes are some of the few in the Yosemite area to use professionally laundered linens. All linens are professionally serviced for each and every reservation. The linens are washed in commercial grade washers with stronger hypoallergenic detergent than you would find in a residential washer. All linens are then pressed with an iron at 300° F, vs. a standard home dryer that only reaches 160°. You are not likely to find this level of service in other vacation homes.

Fireplace/Firepits- Kindly note that any type of wood burning is typically unavailable in the summer and fall months, due to heightened fire risk in the area. Propane firepits and BBQ grills are usable year round. Since the property has an adequate heating system, firewood is not provided. You are most welcome to bring any for your own ambiance if you wish, or can use any that might be at the property left by friends, family, or other guests. The chimney for the wood stove in the master bedroom is unusable due to chimney damage, but the fireplace in the living room can be used when burn bans are lifted.

Dog Friendly- This property is dog friendly! Please let us know if you would like to bring along your dog, and a $75 dog fee(single fee/2 dog max.) will be requested. This $75 covers the entire stay, and is not a per day charge. There is a 2 dog maximum at the property. Please do not allow your dog on the furniture or leave your dog in the home unattended and use a leash when outside, per county ordinance.

Parking- There is enough parking for 3 cars at this property. Many of the local roads are privately owned and privately maintained. We appreciate you not exceeding the maximum parking limit.

Early or Late Check-ins- Early check ins are often difficult for our team to accommodate. If you would like to check in early, please reach out to us after 2PM on the day of your arrival so we can check with our team. If you need guaranteed early check in, we recommend booking the night before your arrival so that you may check in as early as you wish. For checkout, most vacation homes have a 10AM check out in our area. We provide an 11AM checkout, and unfortunately can rarely offer a later checkout.

Occupancy- Maximum occupancy of 10 guests regardless of age. Infants are included in the total. This is strictly enforced. No having events/weddings/large dinner gatherings/guests over just to visit.

Security Cameras- There are external only cameras on the premises that face certain entrance points of the home.

Chains- California Highway Patrol and the National Parks Service may require chains in wintery/snowy/icy conditions. Please ensure you are bringing a vehicle and necessary equipment capable of navigating in these conditions.

No Smoking- The Smoke Remediation Fee will be a minimum of $500 for smoking in the house and could be higher depending on the extent of the damage.

Insurance- Travel Insurance is provided as an option during the checkout process. Please note that as hosts, we cannot protect your trip from flight delays, illnesses, weather, job loss, or other circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. We truly wish we could! We STRONGLY suggest purchasing some type of Travel Insurance so that you may protect your vacation investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from making your trip. It's a nominal cost that can absolutely pay off!

Mail- Due to locked neighborhood mailboxes, we ask you not mail anything to the property. You are most welcome to mail items to our office (Love Yosemite! Vacation Rentals) in Oakhurst. Please reach out to us to make arrangements.

Calling Us- The phone number on our account does not receive text messages, because it is the number for our office. Please call that number or send us a message if you need any help or have any questions!

Neighbors- Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood!

Internet- Peer-to-peer (for example bit torrent) and downloads of copyrighted and illegal material are strictly forbidden by United States law and our internet provider actively monitor these activities. Guests are fully responsible for any illegal uploading or downloading of content and for other illegal activities. By agreeing to the House Rules, you agree to not perform any illegal activities using the home`s internet connection. Any copyright infringement by guest is subject to release of guest's information to copyright holder.

Simple Checkout Instructions-
1. Check out time is 11:00am, not 10am like most vacation homes up here!
2. Please do not do any laundry, it's all professionally serviced off-site.
3. If you have time to start the dishwasher, that would be helpful but not necessary.
4. Kindly throw your garbage in the large green dumpster, located out by the parking! It really helps us keep the critters away!
5. Most importantly, please return any furniture you may have moved during your stay.
P.S. Don't forget to get a last minute photo or two with your family and friends before leaving!

After booking, the rental agreement displayed at checkout will also be sent for E-sign to the email on file. Kindly E-sign this within 48 hours after you make your booking to finalize your reservation.

Cub House
We enjoyed staying in the cub house. It worked very well for our family vacation. However, the couch beds truly need to be replaced or just provide air mattresses. They are busted and old and we ended up sleeping on the floor. The cub house is well equipped to host and even had ample seating! The dishwasher didn’t clean very well and the oven took for ever to get to temp. Besides that it was a great stay. Loved the location.

Nice mountain cabin with a lot of potential, but disappointed
Very nice and spacious cabin, but could use some TLC and better cleaning. On the day of arrival we found mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinet in and around the cookware. Initially thought these were old, but found droppings on day 2. We hand cleaned all the cookware and dishes before use after this discovery. Water pressure in kitchen sink is terrible and takes forever to warm up. Dishwasher is small, dated, and not ideal. Make sure you run the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher or the washer pods will not dissolve. The property manager, Steve, was very responsive to email. His team dropped mouse traps off for us and I did finally trap the mouse on our last night. This is a mountain cabin so understand this does happen, but given the nightly price and cleaning fee, I am disappointed with this situation. The master shower drain backed up with water. Steve sent maintenance out promptly who snaked the drain that same evening. Appreciate the quick action! Really appreciate the communication with Steve, but would have like to see some compensation offered on the cleaning fee for all these issues in a 4 night stay. Pros: -Large and spacious living area and kitchen table, accommodates a large group. -Large and well functioning outdoor grill with spare propane ready to go -Outdoor fenced in pet relief area -Property manager was responsive to email and provided nice communication including advice on obtaining wood on the way to cabin in Oakhurst -Kitchen well stocked with utensils and cookware -Heating system functions well and kept us nice and warm -Cozy fireplace Cons: -Does not have a "clean feel" -Found mouse droppings -Water pressure is poor in the cabin, takes all several minutes for the hot water in shower and kitchen sink -Issues with shower drain -Carpets not clean -Large crumbs under the mattress in the pull out couch

Half Dome Hike
We came to Yosemite to do the Half Dome day hike. The house was about an hour away from where the trail head is, but that’s what we wanted! We were away from the touristy crowds, in a really peaceful area. The house was perfect, with all the comforts of home. Smart tvs, good heating, Wi-Fi etc. we were thrilled with the experience and would for sure rent this house again!

Cabin in the woods
The cabin is well appointed. Plenty of linens, towels and cookware. Kitchen is stocked better than my own! Greatly appreciated the popcorn and goodie bag upon arrival. While the cabin is somewhat dated it was comfortable and met our needs quite nicely. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the yard area. The beds were comfortable but very soft (in case you are a fan of harder mattresses). The only criticism I could give was that the sheets don’t seem to fit well and kept coming untucked. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Comfortable stay
3 generation group 1-69 and everyone was comfortable. Plus: inside park so you do not need to try and get a pass (which we hear is hard), spacious, well equipped kitchen, decks, grill, comfortable beds, quiet even with close neighbors, good small market near, check in and out easy, all instructions/managing tasks super easy, close great river hike. Minus: dirty, stained carpets.
