We have stayed in this awesome house for several years now. You can sit on the front porch in a rocker and hear the ocean. The access to the beach is just steps away. It’s so peaceful here since there is no through traffic. There are bicycles, walkers, and golf carts that go by out front but no cars. We always enjoy our stay and hate to leave.

Quick getaway weekend

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Last year we stayed in the West Unit, this time it was the East. Everything was awesome! It is exactly as advertised and the distance to the beach was perfect. It was easy to walk to the beach every morning to see the sunrise. Can't wait to come back.

Perfect holiday get-away

Very clean and great location! Could see and hear the ocean from our deck. The beach is huge with lots of seashells and was basically deserted during our stay; which was great since we had our daughter's day with us! Easy access to the house and was exactly as described.

Perfect location

This is the second year we have stayed in this house and we will be back again next year. The front porch and easy access to the beach put it at the top of my list. It’s close to the shops and restaurants in Emerald Isle. The outdoor shower is awesome when you come in off the beach. It’s quiet and there is no traffic.

Fantastic getaway!

Beautiful property/location with ocean views and breezes and beach access next to driveway. Pet friendly and has so many thoughtful amenities to include pet bed, bowls and doggie treats! We had the pleasure to meet one of the owners and thank him personally for the lovely stay. Also, enjoyed the original artwork! We would definitely stay here again!!

Very close to being ocean front as you can see and hear the ocean while drinking your morning brew from front porch. Very convenient beach access. We would stay here again.

Very satisfied overall...location...perfect...neighborhood easy to manuever...restaurants, gas, grocery locations perfect...beach and proximity to the beach amazing and the house was comfortable and had the convenience of home...would definitely recommend and will stay again...perfect if not directly on the beach...owner contact and instructions spot on...do not pass go here...you will be satisfied.

Great Family Vacation

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at Surf Sounds. This was special because my son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren rented the other half of the duplex. As before, it was spotless, extremely well equipped and convenient to the beach. The owner was very responsive when a small problem popped up with the internet. Would give it more than 5 stars if possible!

Location Location Lication!

This was our second year in Emerald Isle and this stay was by far the best. Really enjoyed the front porch, the view was magnificent. Being just steps from the Atlantic Ocean was a major convenience. The owners were more than accommodating and responded to the one problem we had in record time. We have already booked for next year and are counting down the weeks. The island, the people, the things to do have created the “perfect” vacation. If you happen to price other properties around, this place has all the comfort for a fair fair price. Highly recommend!

As close to beach front as you can get without being beachfront

This place was everything it was described as and so much more! Centrally located to everything in Emerald Isle, 40 minutes away from Morehead City and Atlantic beach, very clean, everything updated and well maintained! You can't get more beach front without being beach front than this house. 20 feet from the front steps is the ramp that takes you to the ocean. You can see the waves while standing on the front porch and can feel the salt water hit your face if the breeze is just right. The owners were very helpful and very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to and during our trip. This place is great for a small family or a couple with no kids but a four legged friend who likes to tag along. The only negative thing I can even think of is that the ceiling fan in the master bedroom makes a little noise from time to time if it's on high and the master bedroom has a queen sized bed and not a king, but that is a personal thing and in no way affected our trip. I could keep going on but I'll end it here. We will definitely be back in the very near future1
