Bask in Lake Erie sunshine on a sandy, private beach while staying at Willow Grove Lake House, just 7.6 miles from Cedar Point. This charming home is 200 yards from the lake & features a hot tub on the deck. After swimming in the lake, head back to the super clean, updated atmosphere of the home & soak in the hot tub while searing some burgers on the grill. Friends & family will love the comfy bedrooms & will have 2 nicely sized TVs to stream the latest hit movies after long days at the beach. NEW FOR FALL 2022: 4th bedroom added on the 1st floor - perfect for elderly family members that cannot handle a full flight of stairs.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: the hot tub is an extra amenity we offer as a bonus to this beach property. Sometimes hot tubs malfunction and it can take time for parts and repairs. Though we've never had a problem or a malfunction to date, it's always a possibility. There will be no refunds or credits if there are any or all days of your stay where guests cannot use the hot tub. We have a professional hot tub technician that keeps it in tip-top shape. :-) Also, we do not supply propane for the grill. Although there is a propane tank on the BBQ grill, if it becomes empty during a stay, or if it's empty upon arrival, it is the guest's responsibility to exchange the tank.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please remember to: -take trash out to the bin on the far side of the garage, -wash and put away all dishes, including emptying the dishwasher, and, -place towels in the washer.
There is no need to strip beds, but please let us know if any of the beds were unused so we don't waste energy and water on clean beds.
Please be sure to lock the front, side, and rear doors upon your departure.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests agree that they have read/understood/accepted Rental Agreement attached to listing. Guests must sign/return it within 48hrs of booking.
1st and last names of EACH guest staying on property are required, including minors. Guests unwilling to give host all names will not be approved.
Dogs are $35/night, per dog. VRBO website doesn't have capability to charge guests for more than 1 dog. Additional dog fees will be sent separately.

Great Stay

We fully enjoyed the property. Jennifer was quick to respond prior to and during our stay to answer all of our questions. She provided us with lots of great recommendations on places to eat, things to do, etc. The property is conveniently located to the baseball Sportsplex in Sandusky, which is what brought us to OH. A Huron Gem!

My family and I were looking for a cozy getaway for a long weekend, and this house was perfect for the occasion! It had everything we needed, and more! It's a very charming house on a cute, quiet street - perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. It's conveniently close to Sandusky, yet far enough from a busy city area so that it's quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely kind and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The check-in and check-out process was also super simple. My family is now considering a yearly trip to the Huron/Sandusky area, and I will certainly be recommending this house to anyone who wants to travel to and stay in the area!

Ironman weekend

Our family was in town for the Sandusky Ironman race. We made a weekend out of it. Jen was amazing! The place was clean, great location to Sandusky and restaurants, small beach at the end of the street was great for the kids! I could see us returning and using this location to visit Cedar Point!

My husband and I are foodies, so we primarily travel to eat! One of our favorite destinations is Hilton Head. My husband is a military veteran, and I stay busy running our vacation rentals. We love getting to know new people, which is why transient rentals appeal to us. Our listings appeal to guests because of their proximity to one of the world's largest amusement parks, Cedar Point.

Why they chose this property

There is plenty of parking, including a 50-foot long driveway that can accommodate a boat. Large basement with a huge TV for the kids (or for a man cave), 55" TV in living room, and large flat screen in Master Bedroom. We offer Hulu for streaming & local TV channels (no cable TV), and WiFi. The BBQ on the deck is a Charcoal kettle-Q (charcoal NOT provided), & a fully stocked kitchen (no food items or groceries provided). We buy only high-quality linens - no scratchy, inexpensive sheets here! Lake view from some rooms of the house, lagoon right down the street for kiddos to skip rocks or feed ducks or kayak, and an upscale Huron neighborhood where guests can walk with not a lot of traffic. The garage is not accessible to guests.

Only 7.6 miles from Cedar Point, 5.3 miles from Kalahari, 4.1 miles from Sports Force Tournament Park, 7.9 miles from the Jet Express terminal (the ferry that takes guests to the Lake Erie Islands), 0.5 miles to Route 2, & 7 miles to the Ohio Turnpike. Our place is also just 2 miles from "downtown" Huron and all of the festivals, the famous Pied Piper ice cream shop, and Gathering Grounds, Huron's upscale coffee shop.
