We are from the Midwest area and have to admit winters are not our favorite time of the year. We escape each year with our three kids and grandchildren to get away from the cold. The grandkids swim in the pool and ocean until their arms almost fall off. They love to play in the sand and build sandcastles, along with shelling. We buy groceries when we arrive and pretty much take in the beautiful weather and views from either our lanai, poolside or in chairs on the beach...there is never a dull moment. Of course at night we have family meals, drinks and cards for us, and movies or Yahtzee for the kids. They cannot wait to get there each year and would stay forever if they didn't have to be back to school. Also, Doc's is a mile and a half walk down the beach and they have wave runners if you have teenagers that want to hit the water. They are also a great sports bar if you want to take in your favorite teams game on television. Their grouper salad and pizza is amazing!!

Why not??!! Who doesn't love walking outside your condo and being right on the beach? And less space means less cleaning, who wants to spend your time indoors when the gulf of Mexico is right out your backdoor?
