Hardwood, marble, and limestone flooring and updated bathrooms and kitchen and comfortable beds await your group. The house is walking distance to English Village where bakery, restaurants, and wine bar offer another type of European experience with outside tables. Overall Great Stay

I stayed in this home the days leading up to my wedding and my wedding night. It truly is an elegant space and great for photos. The only issues were the personal items in the home made it feel slightly cluttered (closets full of clothes, family photos covering the walls, outdated decor, etc.) and the refrigerator smelt awful, like dead fish. We did not feel comfortable putting any food in the fridge or consuming the ice and water from it. The hot tub was on and ready to go for us, which was great! The temp would not go above a certain degree, however, so it got a little cold after a while. Our main issue was the camera in the home, which is not listed on the VRBO page. It really threw us off guard. We felt like we were being watched at times, but thankfully, we were not doing anything we wouldn't want seen on camera. Still, I believe something like this should be required to be disclosed, as it is required on the other competitor platform. So besides, the interior camera, the smelly fridge, and slight clutter, we had a good stay. Great location and spacious home!

The owner is a Real Estate Broker in Alabama and Florida. As a former ballet dancer, her artistic touch is on this historical property. She has decorated the home with antiques and and updated many of the rooms in the style of the architecture as you can see in the photos.

Why they chose this property

This is a one of a kind home. The Rococo moldings, paintings in the ceiling, and other fine art will inspire you. There is a hot tub that guests may use on the back deck. The bar has a marble sink from Greece and an ice maker with small refrigerator.

What makes this property unique

Behind this house a guest can walk up to see a full city view of Birmingham and then visit English Village and great shopping in Mountain Brook and visit the Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Zoo along with fantastic restaurants within a mile of the house.
