About this property

SPACIOUS CUSTOM HOME WITH LARGE GAME ROOM!!!

Situated in the beautiful Animas River Valley, halfway between downtown Durango & Purgatory Ski Resort, this large home with game room is the perfect place for your next vacation.
Our 4000 sq ft home offers 5 bedrooms and 3 baths with room to sleep 13 comfortably. Our bonus game room is a hit with kids and adults of all ages.
We have every convenience to make you and your guests feel at home. A fully stocked kitchen, TV's, wifi, stereo, washer/dryer. Handmade rustic wood furniture throughout.

The space
Our custom 4,000 sq ft, one story home is sure to be the perfect spot for your next family reunion, ski trip, summer vacation, fall golf trip, hiking trip, friend vacation. Nestled between downtown Durango and Purgatory Ski Resort, approximately 10 miles away from both. You'll find all that southwest Colorado has to offer is conveniently located very close to our location.

Bedrooms:
5 bedrooms with king, queen, double and twin sized options. There is a sleeping arrangement perfect for everyone - single, couple or family.

Bathrooms:
Master bedroom has a full bathroom inside. Shower separated from bathroom for extra privacy.
2nd bathroom has a European styled, large walk in shower. This bathroom also houses the washer and dryer you may need after a day of hiking or skiing.
3rd bathroom features a large bathtub for après ski soak.

Game Room:
A hangout for people of all ages. Ping pong, foosball, pool table, air hockey, video game, pinball machine as well as board games galore. Large screen TV, wrap around sofa, additional loveseat, and a gas fireplace make this room one of the most used in the house.

Kitchen:
Fully stocked with cookware, utensils, plates, glasses, microwave, toaster oven, crock pots, spices...

Staying in this home ensures a parking space for three passenger vehicles. If you need space for a 4th vehicle, you just need to contact me in advance and I will make arrangements for you to be able to park that 4th vehicle.

Anything other than a passenger vehicle (ie - trailer, camper, etc) must also be advised in advance. It can most likely be accommodated but in order to ensure a space, you must let me know in advance.

***Please contact me in advance of booking with pets. There will be an additional $25 pet fee required per dog. I'm sorry but there are no cats allowed. Dogs must be kenneled if kept inside the home alone.

***DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER IN OUR TOILETS. We have a sensitive septic system. Do not flush any wipes (baby wipes, flushable wipes etc) nor any feminine products in our toilets. Doing so will wreak havoc on our septic system and cause you to incur a $500 fine.

***All towles are to remain on site. They are not to be brought to the hot springs or on a hike or used to clean with. If the towels are stained, there will be an additional $25 charge for bath towels, $10 for hand towels, $5 for wash cloths.

***ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES ALLOWED. Your reservation will be cancelled and you will be forced to leave immediately if this rule is not abided by.

***No smoking of any kind is allowed inside the home. Doing so will cause you to incur a $100 fine.

The place was amazing and Vita was so great at communicating and accommodating. We accidentally left a piece of luggage there and she quickly called us and tucked it away safely so that we could come back and retrieve it a few days later really enjoyed everything about it thanks Vita, we had a great time.

Great winter getaway

This is our 2nd Thanksgiving staying with family (adults and teens) at this property. The game room is great with kids and the rooms/house are comfortable. The proximity to Purgatory is nice for skiing, but you are still close enough to town to make for easy travel.

San Juan Launch Point

HUGE HOME!!

Great compound! Beautiful home, and the owner has updated the furniture in the game room! VERY CLEAN, and I loved the rustic pine furniture. Oh and the photos in the game room are AMAZING! You will definitely enjoy your stay in this home.

Fun family ski memories

We took our family and my brother's family. Everyone had a great time. Ages ranged from infant through college age in terms of the "kids" and all had fun. Rooms are fairly spread apart which allowed for a quiet space for the infant an his parents. The teenagers and college kids all had fun playing games in the game room and enjoyed the big circular couch. It is good to be aware that 2 of the 3 bathrooms are separate from the other rooms so everyone will be sharing bathrooms.

Ski trip vacationers

The property is spacious and can host large groups. The kitchen is not very big but can accommodate the games have broke. Half of the games pieces were broken or missing otherwise we enjoyed what was there. Be heating and air conditioning on opposite sides of the house where either freezing cold or stifling hot.

Summer family vacation

We were happy to stay in a home centrally located to all of Durango’s activities. The game room provided great fun for all and cable worked well. Unfortunately the pots in the kitchen were peeling and dirty. There were mice in closets and spiders in the beds. The gas knobs on the stove turned on with the slightest bump…dangerous. 2 of 3 burners on grill worked, likely because it was so dirty. The shades in my room did not work, had to hang a sheet for privacy. This listing has much potential but needs TLC

Great CO getaway!

My family had a wonderful time staying here! We had kids ranging from 5 years old to 14 years old and all enjoyed their stay. I'm not sure if the kids liked the game room or the shower with 6 shower heads more! Vita was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay.
