This property was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean, cozy and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The location is perfect as it was an easy walk to the hot springs, downtown and the free bus to the slopes. Would definitely return, thank you for everything and making our stay special.
We gathered in Steamboat with family who were from 3 different states. This wonderful 100 year old house was the perfect gathering place for Christmas! They even had it decked out for Christmas. The grandkids were excited about the tree and even a fireplace for Santa to use!The location was perfect as it was next to downtown and the hot springs for our non skiers, yet close to the slopes. The house had a great kitchen with everything we needed to cook for our large group. The house and yard were big enough for us all to spread out and a lovely dining room for us to gather for meals and gam s! We highly recommend staying here.
We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We had a great time! The house was in a perfect location to walk everywhere. We enjoyed grilling with friends and sitting on the front porch swing every night. Such a cute house and big enough for 6 of us. Communication with host was very good.
Great rental. Awesome yard. Great walking location. Best claw tub & shower. Special touches such as a bottle of wine upon arrival and York peppermint Pattie's on all towel sets. The front porch swing was enjoyable. We will return!
The photos of this property don't do it justice – it's gorgeous and more spacious than it seems from the photos. Also has a fenced-in yard which was a huge bonus for traveling with our dog! Another surprise bonus was that the house is one block from the bus stop to the resort (every 15 minutes) and when on the express shuttle, this is the first/last bus stop - so direct service right to the mountain! The owners/property managers were incredibly kind, helpful, and overly accomodating! Truly a hospitable experience from booking through checkout. The walkability of this home to everything could not have been better. 10/10 experience!
We just spent a magical Christmas week in this perfect house. It had everything we could possibly have needed and then some. Our hosts had beautifully decorated for Christmas including a tree. Cannot say enough about the care and attention they gave us, even daily snow shoveling. We were indeed blessed with snow every day and our family enjoyed all the wonders of this special town. We would highly recommend staying here and hope we can return some day.
Superb spot close to everything. Hosts were awesome and everything was super easy and cozy, and the fact that the home was dog friendly made it all perfect. Thank you so much!
This house was very comfortable for our family of adults. The owner provided all that we needed for our beds and in the kitchen. Great backyard for a Fall picnic. Excellent location. I would stay there again.
This was a great house, and we would not hesitate to stay here again! When we go to Steamboat (which is at least a few times per year), we really like to either stay right at the base of the resort, or in town. The ability to walk to dining and activities is just a huge plus. You can't get much closer to the heart of town than this place! Just one block away, and you are at restaurants, shops, or old town hot springs center. Communication from the owners was great, check in was easy (none of this "drive to this random location to pick up keys" stuff), and they even provided good coffee and a six-pack from a local brewery. Great experience!
We were an adult family of six and the property fit our needs perfectly. It was clean and organized, and we had excellent communication with the owner. The location cannot be beat!! We never had to use our cars the entire time we were there. Our dog also enjoyed the fenced-in yard, and we appreciated having a grill to use also. It's an older home, but we didn't have any issues. Definitely recommend.
Oak St. Manor is in great house in a terrific location. The house comfortably absorbed five adults and a dog. The bathrooms were large and well appointed. The kitchen had all the necessaries and was well organized. The location was perfect - walking distance to terrific restaurants and outdoor activities.
The hosts communicated well, accommodated all requests (including an extension cord so I could charge my EV in the parking space), and provided a wonderful welcome for our stay.
We recommend this property highly.
Couldn’t ask for a more perfect house for our family. Lovingly restored 1912 home close to great restaurants. Steamboat Springs was an ideal getaway for us
The cutest hundred year old house ever. We adored all the woodwork and beauty while also appreciating the modern touches to make it relaxing and perfect. Gorgeous claw foot tub with somehow the worlds perfect water pressure. We walked to downtown every day. It’s a block off Main Street. Plenty of room for a family of 5. Hosts were incredible. They made sure we had coffee and half and half. Chocolates on our towels and fresh flowers. We had zero issues with anything on our stay and even our dogs were considered (they left dog bowls and towels for their feet by the door) the upstairs master has the air conditioning so we just cranked it and put a fan in the doorway to blow it to the other room upstairs. A non issue outside of July and august though. All the household amenities you could want and we loved our stay. Wish all hosts were as thoughtful and lovely!
Our group of 6 stayed at this house over the 4th of July weekend, including two seniors and two teens.
Overall the house was very nice - very clean, and well cared-for. It is an old house with lots of character, and was fitted out with everything we needed, including a grill. The location is very convenient, especially being one block from the Natural Grocers store. Nicole was very easy to get in touch with and was responsive to our requests.
Two downsides to this house are 1) that there is only air conditioning in the master bedroom, so most of us did not sleep well at night due to high temperatures. There was a box fan, which we put in the bathroom window and tried to draw in cooler air from outside, but it was only somewhat effective. Also, because of having the windows open all night, there was a lot of traffic noise from the 4-way stop right outside the house. 2) The mattresses on the bunk beds are not very comfortable, and are only suitable for one person each. My father-in-law actually ended up sleeping on the couch.
Also, it should be noted that the bunk bed room is downstairs, which might be an issue if you have kids who need you during the night.
Other than the sleep situation, it was a very comfortable house to be in during the day. The front porch swing was a nice place to hang out, and the keyless entry made it easy for all of us to come and go as we pleased.
My wife and I stayed here with our two sons for four days over the holidays. The house was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location was fantastic for walking to shops and restaurants in town, and it's one block from the Hot Springs. We skied each day and the drive to the mountain was quick and easy. There is also an option to take the free bus, which stops a block away. The owners were very welcoming and communication was very easy. We would happily stay here again.
