REPEAT AFTER ME..I BELIEVE I NEED A TAN! now CLICK ME man (fist pump)

This Unit was very nice and clean. Was extremely updated and had a nice view of the beach from the balcony. My only complaint was not about the Unit but the beach. There were multiple “no tents allowed” signs. They had 3 rows of rental chairs set up to where you literally had NO choice but to purchase a chair ($35 a day or $175 for a week) for you to even really see the ocean! Which is ridiculous. Not everyone wants to rent a beach chair. The problem is not that they have rental chairs...that’s normal. I understand you can not set up in front of them (very normal) but 3 rows is a little excessive all the way down the front of the beach. We paid to go to the beach to enjoy it! Not stare at the backs of people’s heads all day and struggle to “squeeze” between the many rows of rental chairs just to get to the water! We were also fine with the “no tent” situation. BUT prior We did bring a small sun shade for our 6 month old which we were told we were not allowed to use...but then 2 days later a family set up THREE Tents side by side on the beach and they allowed this for them. Shame on you pelican beach resort! If it was left up to just the Unit we would be back but bc of the beach situation we will not!

This place was super adorable. The views were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We enjoyed Destin very much! However, I have a few complaints about the property. 1) The smell emanating from the spare bathroom was awful. We opted to not even try to use it. 2) Both bathrooms were dirty when we arrived. The spare bathroom had a very large bug in it. When I say large, around 3-4” in length.

The property management company bent over backwards to make our stay as good as they could, but the bathroom smell never went away.

One last thing to note, the resort DOES NOT allow use of the four post tents on their beach. You need to bring your own beach umbrella and beach chairs or rent the chairs and umbrellas the property has for $38/day.

The area is wonderful, but I will not stay here again.

Our family enjoyed our time at the beach. The room was decorated as shown in the pictures and the location to the beach and restaurants was perfect. Staff was friendly. We’ve stayed at Pelican before and this condo was better than our previous stay even though the resort looks fairly dated in areas. There were a few things during our stay that didn’t really dampen our fun such as the dryer lint screen was not working and I had to spend 20 minutes the first use cleaning it with a vacuum before using it and each time after each use and the sprinkler head in front bedroom started leaking. I texted the owner and maintenance was called immediately but they didn’t arrive until the next morning. They said the sprinklers had been shut off for over a month. They looked at it and left. It didn’t leak anymore during our stay but if I was the condo owner I would want a more thorough inspection of why it was leaking. The noise level during the night was sometimes loud but we turned on the box fans to mute some of the noise. The owner and Panhandle were prompt to answer my calls and text and were very courteous ! Overall we had a fun filled trip!!!!

Condo looked just like the photos. It was warm in the front room at night and we had to turn down A/C. Did not like that we had to set up our chairs behind the ones you purchase. The resort chair rental companies monopolize every inch of beach. We will not stay along this stretch of beach again.
