Amazing Sunsets and Lake Quality

Completely remodeled lake home in 2021 with many of the amenities and conveniences you expect to make your vacation truly enjoyable. Expect a very furnished kitchen with every utensil possible and quality appliances. Large dock with solar boat lift.

Incredible lake views and sunsets with 5 sleeping areas (3 private bedrooms plus 2 open areas). About 2,150 finished SF.

There is enough parking (2 concrete driveways for up to 9 cars) and also room for an RV complete with a 30AMP exterior outlet. Boating dock fits up to 2 or 3 regular 20' boats. 1 solar boat lift for a up to 20ft boat without upper racks. Very private lot with 200 feet of lake shore. Dock, boat lift, kayacs and lilipad available from mid June to mid September.

House was absolutely perfect and outside landscaping seating options were perfect.

Overall loved the home. Would be a little more ideal for couples if there was one more bedroom and queen or king beds in bedrooms but would rent this home with family again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful girls weekend away. The home is beautiful, clean and just as pictured. It’s hard to beat the views from every window along the back of the home. The house is very well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We all said we would return for another girls weekend or bring our families to enjoy this property.

Women’s Weekend

Beautiful house, lots of outdoor seating areas with a lake view. We enjoyed the fire pit with the complimentary wood bundle. Our group consisted of 8 women over 60, and we found the proximity to Carlos Creek Winery perfect for our plans. We slept two in each room and one on each of the two pullout sofa beds.

Sisters trip

Us seven sisters thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! Plenty of room for all of us, and the lake and fall colors were a welcome bonus. Everything in this home appears brand new and very nicely decorated! Francisco was very responsive and helpful! Thank you!

Breathtaking!!!

The house is extremely beautiful! It's everything you see online. Our visit was in the fall so we did not get to enjoy the lake or the outdoor of the house as it was chilly/windy. The view was amazing and made up for not being outdoor. House is well furnished and has all the kitchen utensils. I would definitely Recommend this house to anyone looking for a getaway not too far from the cities or in Alexandria. I would definitely stay here again in the future

Fantastic Spaces!

We had a great extended family weekend on Lake Ida! In total we had five teens/pre-teens and six adults and the house and surrounding property were perfect! Hosts have provided everything: wide variety of board and card games, ping pong table, hammock, kayaks, lily pad... a kitchen stocked with spices and some staples; wood & s'mores sticks for the fire pit (it was even set up for us!). No details were missed. Adirondack chairs right on the lake are the perfect sunset viewing station. Kids spent hours swimming off the dock and playing on the lily pad. We even caught some fish off the kayaks! Sweet little winery/brewery about four miles down the road.

Sunset on Ida is an absolutely beautiful property! Our stay was brief as we were in the area for a wedding, but we will definitely be back! Everything you could ever need, want and more is at your fingertips. Such a beautiful place.

Girls' weekend getaway

The property is beautiful, only pleasant surprises...kitchen had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable. We've stayed in many homes, this was the cleanest and most organized. Sunsets were amazing, made sure we got back in time to view them.

Recent Renovation

While the weather was not cooperative this year, the property continues to be in excellent condition. A master bedroom and large bath on the main floor compliment two bedrooms and one bath on the lower level. The home has recently been renovated/updated. The kitchen is well appointed. Activities are abundant.

Family Lake Vacation

Beautiful home on Lake Ida! Loved the views, the outdoor spaces, and easy lake access. Had everything we needed for a week long family summer vacation! Our kids enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock. They also loved having use of the lily pad and kayaks to enjoy the lake! Water was so clear and clean! So many great spots to sit and read a book, enjoy coffee on the deck, and watch the sunsets.

Picture perfect

Sunsets on Lake Ida are truly unforgettable and this lakehouse has ideal views westward across the lake. We had both good and bad weather during our stay but the inside, outside, and lakeside of this property could not have been better. Everything was top notch in terms of quality, comfort, and made for frankly luxurious relaxation. Property owner was very communicative, helpful, and conscientious.

Beautiful Property, amazing experience

I can’t begin to express how many “wow’s” came out of our mouth as we explored the house. So clean and cozy. It was a perfect place to spend our anniversary. We really enjoyed checking out Alexandria and coming back tired, we hung out near the fireplace and watched tv. The view of the lake was gorgeous. We would definitely come back during the summer time to enjoy the lake. Ultimately a very relaxing weekend and would recommend to anyone interested in the highest quality of getaways! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was born in Santiago, Chile and Jan in Albert Lea, Minnesota who as a world traveller met me (1981) and married me (1983) in Chile and lived there for 5 years after which time we moved to the States (1985). We now have 4 amazing adult children and 4 incredible grandkids. . I am a former Architect and lately a translation editor and Jan a former Spanish/French teacher currently an interpreter trainer. We love making friends in any language as well as boating and relaxing at any lake.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for an investment lake property for several years. A hard thing to find on our favorite Lake Ida. Very private 200 feet of shoreline where you cannot see your neighbors.
The view to the lake with its magnificent sunsets in all seasons whether from the deck, the dock or the home on top the hill never ceases to take our breath away!

What makes this property unique

Great location and lake views. Recently renovated to 2021 standards. Super equipped. 200 feet of private shoreline. You should be aware the lot is on a hill but has been masterfully terraced down towards the lake with comfortable sun-bathing areas. If you are looking for a flat lot and sandy beach, this is not the place for you. Look at the pictures and notice the stairs you'll have to climb to get back and forth from the lake / shoreline to the house. Very good access to the many nearby area attractions on a well-travelled county road which might create some extra road noise on the front side of the property but not at all bothersome.
