Wonderful stay. We enjoyed the home. Plenty of room. Had everything we needed. There is no AC so the upper part of house was a little warm but the basement section was always cold and comforting. My mom had a health scare and we ended up at the local ER and another hospital Local area was amazing Grocery store super close.
Our family had a wonderful time at the beautiful home in Alpine. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking meals. And the property manager kept driveway and sidewalks clear of snow and we had beautiful snow falls daily. I highly recommend this property!
Excellent property! My family loved the large yard and deck. The beds were comfy and our group of 12 had plenty of room. Amazing location with an easy drive into the Grand Tetons.
This was a perfect location for our two families to be together and to visit the Tetons in August. The house is well stocked, beds comfortable, run around space for kids in the backyard The grocery store was across the street! Communication was excellent. You do drive a little further to get to the Tetons but it's a beautiful drive and it's nice to have the space to make dinner together and hang out comfortably afterwards.
Our stay in Alpine was amazing! We used the cabin as a base camp for a week of whitewater rafting and kayaking. Plenty of space to spread out for our large group and the cabin is very well stocked. Easy access to our extended group in the North Alpine Campground and rafting on the Snake River. One challenge is that trailers are not permitted in the neighborhood, but we knew that ahead of time and made arrangements! We will certainly be staying here again!
We were extremely happy with this property! Nice and roomy and kept very clean. Perfect distance from attractions but out of the busyness. Nice grocery stop right down the street as well for anything forgotten or food during the week.
This house was perfect for our visit to WY. There were 6 of us so there was plenty of room and the house had everything and more then we could want or need. Place is very beautiful and in a great location close to store restaurants and entertainment. Host was great to work with
This beautiful home was just what our family needed to enjoy a great visit to the Teton National Park! Each family has comfortable arrangements, we enjoyed the backyard for a treasure hunt, and everything was needed to make this feel like we were at home. Thanks for offering such a great home!
My guests that had booked my VRBO property were inconvenienced by a power outage after they checked-in. I had to scramble to find a suitable replacement property, and this property was thankfully available for the remainder of their vacation dates and a very nice property indeed.
Thank you!
Wonderful home added to the comfort and convenience of our family retreat. Thank you for providing such a clean, beautiful and well appointed home for our family vacation. Our parents (the great grandparents of the group) stayed in the master bedroom and a photo in that room had the same dates as their wedding anniversary on the wall… the bed was the same as theirs at home. It felt meant for them. Thankful for the time spent to visit local family (our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren) as well as exploring the Alpine/Jackson area which is breathtaking! We visited Jenny Lake which was a treat… and drove to Afton to see the antler arch. Our son and his wife and their little one drove to Yellowstone and spent a day exploring there. We ate at the Bull Moose Lodge, Melvins brewery, Yankee Doodles, and the taco truck…all fabulous! Our favorite eatery in Jackson was Sidewinders American grill! We still cooked several meals at the home and were pleased to find everything we needed. Thanks… we will be back 💕
Bear Meadow Lodge is conveniently located 3 minutes from all the amenities in the quaint town of Alpine, WY and as as advertised is beautifully furnished, with all the comforts and needs of your own home. Bear Meadow Lodge is ready for your friends or family retreat. We enjoyed gathering around the large kitchen island at meal time, playing games around the large kitchen table as a family and relaxing watching our favorite movies via DISH in the main family room and in the downstair family room. Although the home's property backs up to the highway, their is no noise at night, unless you choose to open the windows. The home has a great layout with 3 bedrooms on the main and 3 in the basement, with great mattresses to help you relax after a fun filled day. We had an infant with us and had no problem with laughing and being together while the baby was napping or had gone to bed. Conveniently located less than a 40 minute drive to Jackson, WY, you can enjoy the 70 miles of spectacular shore line on Palisades Reservoir with your boat or rent a boat for fishing, wake boarding, or surfing in Alpine. The boat ramp is 2 minutes from this home. You may wish to tube or white water raft the Snake River, or enjoy some off roading with 4 wheelers or side by sides, or maybe just enjoy some relaxing time in Alpine. No matter what you do, I highly recommend Bear Meadow Lodge for your adventure in Jackson or Alpine. Jack and Mary Jo's home is a wonderful retreat and a great value!
This home was a great base camp for our Summer 2022 Couples trip. We had so much fun! We floated the Snake River on a raft and floated the Salt River on canoes, kayaks, and a paddleboard. We swam in the lake and played games. This home was a really great central point.
One thing that we didn't realize was that there was a truck parked in the garage and we had to find a different location to park one of our trailers. There was a police officer in the neighboring community that helped us find a spot, which was super helpful.
This home really does have a backyard that sits right on the highway. We didn't notice the noise until we wanted to hang out in the backyard.
I reached out to the property manager a couple of times before and during our trip and it took him a while to respond, if he ever did.
All in all, a great location and a beautiful home. Our experience with the HOA rules about trailers, unfriendly neighbors, and an unresponsive property manager would make us re-think a return trip.
Exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. We had 8 people staying, everyone was happy.
