Very comfortable stay just on the outskirts of town. Water heater works great :)
My husky pup and I thoroughly enjoyed tromping through the snow and exploring the area. Plenty of space for the kids and extras around the home to make it a very comfortable and yet nicely affordable stay.

Thanks for your review Christina! Our property allows for wandering around alone, with family, friends and dogs. New hot water heater installed last year that keeps the hot water flowing for post hike and ski days. Come again any time. We’d love to host you again.
We wanted a place where we could spend time with our grandkid and because they are older they needed their own space. The house and the location were perfect. Short drive to Durango for the train and nice drive up to Silverton.
First time using a vacation rental. Exceeded our expectations. Very nice and comfortable. Loved the view and the atmosphere . We all had a wonderful stay.
Liked the distance between Durango and purgatory. Plenty of space and it was nice there was no TV. Enjoyed playing the arcade games and foosball.

Thanks for staying at our home. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay. We’ve just added a smart TV to the home. No one has ever mentioned it before as it was not in the listing. However thank you for your comment, we decided to add one because of you. Come back and visit any time!
My family had an extended stay at Vita’s place and we were more than happy with our experience. The house is quaint and adorable and fully stocked with everything we needed! Damon, the property manager was easy to communicate and extremely helpful!

We enjoyed having Jen and her family stay with us prior to their forever home being completed. Jen was very communicative and all around a wonderful guest! Best of luck in your new home!!!
This property is surrounded by trees, with views of the mountains from the front and the bluff behind. The beds and sheets were comfortable. The unit was clean. It looks quite different inside than the photos showed, have done some painting and different furniture - not a big deal, but the owners may want to correct that—limited TV channels. The outside cast iron furniture had no padding, so we were not able to eat outside, but there were Adirondack chairs for sitting. A self-contained firepit would be enjoyable. There was one issue for which I contacted the owners; they were responsive and took care of it quickly.
Nice spacious cabin and very well stocked. We spent a lot of time there making meals and sitting outside enjoying the view. Easy access to Durango, Purgatory and Silverton. Host was very responsive.
We absolutely loved our stay. I had no idea the house would be decorated for Christmas so I brought up a Christmas tree and decorations only to find there was a tree with wrapped boxed underneath the tree. I can't say enough good things about the property. It was way beyond expectations. My family wants to plan another trip up to Durango and hopefully will be able to stay here again.
This place is the perfect cabin. We had an amazing time here over the winter and is close to Purgatory. It is quite isolated and an overall phenomenal property.
My mom and I stayed here for several nights, and I admit that this is where we fell in love with Colorado. The host is so courteous and responsive, and has made this cabin so comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside watching the sunrise over the mountains and found that it's a perfect location for stargazing at night. The kitchen is well-stocked and the beds are comfortable, which really made our stay relaxing. We were sad to leave and we hope to return in the future; the location is perfect for visiting downtown Durango or making a short drive to nearby trails too! We loved our time at this cabin and we definitely recommend staying here!
The house is located a few miles outside of Durango and it is fairly nice and quiet. There is a bit of noise from the highway during the day, but it really dies down at night. We had one small issue, which the property owner fixed immediately (almost quicker than I clicked send on my message). The kids enjoyed the video games and foosball table. The house is a bit dated and could use a few updates. The living room layout is a bit odd and that makes it hard to watch TV. But it is obvious that the owners are making some serious investment in upgrading the properties based on the work being done during our short stay. I can't imagine how much the concrete for the drive and parking must have cost them! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again if we are back in this part of Colorado in the future.
