An Unforgettable Family Weekend
What a blast! I've rented many properties before and this one was top of my list to return to. The space is beautiful and conducive to a large group. We had enough space alone as well as a wonderful communal area to spend time together. We utilized the kitchen well with cooking and baking; it was well stocked and had good quality tools compared to many rental properties. The dock and walk down to the water was beautiful. There are four decks to choose from so our time outside was definitely well utilized. I also chose to go for a run one day and used the road in which was quite lovely. I would highly recommend this spot and we're looking to rebook to make it an annual visit!

Beautiful cottage vacation
We had a wonderful stay at Black Barrel Hill. The cottage was beautiful and the photos online were very accurate. The view from the cottage and the many decks was spectacular. We enjoyed spending many hours at the dock and having our meals on one of the decks. Enjoyed the pedal boat and canoe. Our communication with the owner was great and she answered all our questions promptly. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage!!

Gorgeous home away from home
Stayed one week at this beautiful cottage (July 30- Aug 8) with our extended family. It was very comfortable for 5 adults and 4 kids (7,5,3,1) Cottage was fully loaded, didn’t have to bring much and had such homey touches. The kids loved the Wii. The owners were welcoming and warm and answered all our questions quickly. The water/dock was great for fishing with the kids. We rented kayaks (3rd party) but would suggest not doing that. Access to the dock is quite steep/hard to get to. My spouse did not enjoy hauling them down and back. Only other heads up I would say is that the garage/recycling is confusing. We followed our municipal rules for recycling (TO) and still had to pay the town fee. My suggestion is that it might be best to bring it home with you otherwise the town charges per bag. We loved this cottage and hope we can make it back again soon.

We can accommodate up to 8 guests.

Perfectly equipped for families and couples who love to relax, cook, and be surrounded by nature. The property is located on a hill which is why we strongly recommend child supervision. We have a large dock and a shallow small sandy area on our property! Unplug and spend some quality time with your loved ones but should you need it we also have WIFI (Starlink!), Netflix, a Wii console, foosball table, and many board games.

Garbage removal is NOT included however, we do provide clear garbage bags that are accepted by the dumps. The township is very strict about waste removal. Instructions on garbage sorting can be found in the house guideline booklet as well as in the kitchen. If the garbage is not properly sorted, The dump will not accept your garbage so please be very mindful when sorting!

Relax knowing that you have access to a fully equipped kitchen with great Kitchen Aid appliances, including a dish washer. We also have many portable appliances available including a Ninja blender, a waffle maker, and a hand held mixer. You'll also find various spices and condiments such as garlic powder, salt, pepper, grapeseed oil, and olive oil. If you enjoy baking, we have cupcake pans, cookie pans, cake pans, and measuring cups.

There is a propane BBQ on one of the two decks.

The bedrooms are spacious and come prepared with bedding and ample storage space. Bathrooms have fresh towels, soap, and bath products.

What makes this property unique

We have well water through the taps and filtered fresh drinking water and ice from the fridge!

There is a wood burning fireplace in the house and a fire pit outside at the back of the house. Wood not provided.

Available Cleaning Supplies: Clear garbage bags, dish soap, dish sponges, dishwasher detergent, 3 rolls of paper towel, two rolls of toilet paper per washroom, Tide laundry detergent, and other cleaning products. Please do not use hand sanitizer as it damages the flooring and please do not use harsh bleach or chemicals. They will damage the septic tank.

New for Spring/Summer 2021: New large deck and dock, canoe, and pedal boat!
