Lakefront Cabin near Acadia National Park
Log style cabin right on the shores of beautiful Georges Pond in Franklin Maine. Renovated 3 years ago with upgrades continuing over the past 3 years. Newly finished sun room interior and upgraded kitchen this year including dishwasher, new microwave and granite countertops. Close to town and shopping in Ellsworth. Easy access via a town paved road. Directly on an ATV access route to ATS and Down East Sunrise Trails. 31 miles to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park with its wonderful hiking/biking trails, whale watches and multiple amenities. Many state maintained hiking and mountain climbing trails off RT 182 within 10 miles of camp. This camp offers 2 kayaks and life jackets for the guests as well as a 16 ft canoe. New dock and deck installed spring of 2021. Georges Pond is one of the most popular fishing destinations in downeast, Maine. Fishing rods are provided for our guests. One mile to a public boat launch. We have designated the power to the camp to be provided by Maine Community Solar Power Grid.
