Loved this property!! Perfect location for our group as we were skiing Cranmore and Pleasant mountain. Lots of room for a large group sleeping wise, although would have loved more sitting space in kitchen and living! The place had everything we needed and we even got a visit from Pumpkin which we ADORED!!! Would definitely stay here again(:
This property was perfect for our rather loud, adventurous, testosterone-fueled group of guys to call home for a weekend. Tucked far away enough as to not dust turn the neighbors, but close enough to all of the outdoor activities we were hoping to do. Plus, daily visits from the neighborhood cat Pumpkin, who was even more adventurous than the rest of us!
Beautiful house, way bigger then we thought it would be. We had 20 people and everyone was comfortable and got a bed. Pumpkin the cat was the star of the show and had a blast with us.
Plenty of room in this lovely house. There are plenty of bedrooms and it was very open for our group of 8. There is not a lot in Brownsfield, but it's a pretty area and is a great starting point for seeing the lake region (including Sebago), North Conway NH, and Fryeburg. The hosts were super responsive and accommodating. The house itself it not luxurious and is more old school charming. We were there in a very hot week and the a/c couldn't quite cover the whole house. But we didn't mind for the wonderful times we had in the yard, the kitchen table, and the surrounding area.
PROS: I would absolutely recommend and will look into it for future trips up North! It is the perfect spot for a large gathering for family or friends! It had an awesome backyard that I wish we had more time to use. The living room is beautiful and perfect just for hanging out or to enjoy a game night! The kitchen had everything you needed to make your own meals. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions that I had.
The only CON: There is a neighborhood cat that likes to hang out in the sunroom, so if you have allergies they might flare up. (We had two people that ended up with red eyes and runny noses). He was extremely friendly and sweet though!
If you are looking for a rustic lodge experience this house is perfect for you. If you are looking for a modern newly remodeled house this is not it. Creaky floors and stairs add to the rustic atmosphere. Plenty of beds and room to run for our family with 7 grandchildren but movie night was a bit uncomfortable with only 2 sofas in the living room. Our family enjoyed our weekend together.
Place was great, check-in was smooth. The house is bigger in person. The wood stove kept the place toasty. The house worked out great for us and we will definitely be renting it again. Thanks Matt for letting stay at your place and Thank You for your service to our country.
Spacious and clean. This property was perfect for our big group. The layout was perfect for us. The hosts were great communicators and we had no issues whatsoever. Don't hesitate to book here.
This place was AMAZING for our big group ski trip and we had a fabulous time! Excellent location, beautiful house and amenities and super comfy beds! I loved the way this house was decorated and it was such an amazing getaway for a large group. The closeness to mountains like attitash and bretton woods made this a fabulous choice and the price was SO reasonable! We loved our stay.
Quiet vacation rental with a bonus cat named Pumpkin
Outside back yard newly wooden outdoor furniture is just missing a fire pit to make it a complete experience!
Indoor kitchen and dining room was just a perfect experience for the family dining experience.
Sleeping arrangements were perfect and the beds comfortable!
Our trip was for a weekend wedding so was a quick trip, how quaint was North Conway and would live to return trip to spend more time in the area!
This is such a great property! The pictures don’t really do the place justice. We stayed with seven adults and 8 kids and everyone had enough space and privacy. It is fully stocked with everything you would need for your stay: sheets and blankets, towels, small kitchen appliances. The owner was super responsive to my questions and made check in and check out super easy. I highly recommend this house!
