About this property

Mt. Pilchuck River Cabin

An hour from Seattle, Mt Pilchuck River Cabin is a great spot to retreat from the cities hustle and bustle. Adjacent to the South fork of the Stilly River and at the base of Mt Pilchuck, you won't find a better retreat! River views, Fire side chats around your iron firepit, and of course private hot tub are all part of the allure! Inside find plush linens and comfy furnishings, and with a fully stocked kitchen to boot! Take advantage of this glamorous base camp for your PNW hikes today :)

Bask in the embrace of the river and forest panorama from the warmth of a brand-new hot tub, perfect for those chilly evenings. Ignite memories around a covered firepit as the gentle river below sets the tone for tales and laughter. Whether you're rock hounding amidst fall's vibrant tapestry or snowshoeing in a winter dream, this cabin offers endless seasonal adventures.

Relish the myriad activities the seasons offer: from gold panning, kayaking, and stargazing off the Rusty Bridge during nights to backcountry skiing and boarding. And as every season has its charm, explore nearby Lake Twenty-Two, Heather Lake, and the majestic Mt. Pilchuck.

The quaint community of Verlot, with its general store and welcoming tavern, offers a slice of local life. For broader needs, Granite Falls is just a 20-minute drive. And while we ensure the cabin is equipped with cooking basics, do come prepared for your stay's entirety.

Your journey is further enhanced by the vibrant culture of Granite Falls. Dive into the town's spirit with lively bars, intimate tap rooms, aromatic coffee shops, and an array of restaurants capturing the essence of the region.

The entire home and property are yours to enjoy. Adjacent cabins are nearby, but each has separate parking areas and entrances and is privacy fenced, providing a peaceful and private atmosphere. Past guests have enjoyed the privacy with hardly a notice of the other guests in those cabins. The Verlot Campground, the ranger station, and Heather Creek are just a short walk away.

We are located next to the Rusty Bridge and the Stilly River. Situated just below Mt. Pilchuck and Heather Lake. We are in a community of cabins within the USDA forest service area. It's a little rustic in our neighborhood. There is a mix of vacation cabins and permanent residences. We have very low crime in our zone, and most folks keep to themselves. This is an all inclusive space and very welcoming. Don't be surprised if someone goes by and gives you a friendly wave. Many locals have helped with our restoration and creation here, and folks look out for each other in the Verlot community. You are in a welcome place :)

We want to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

3) We do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. Please do not arrive early, or stay past check-out. The cleaners will be there by 11 AM. If the cabin is ready before the standard 4 PM time, our team will message you. The cabin is usually booked back to back with every guest deserving a fully cleaned and presented cabin :)

4) We do provide firewood, however we do recommend that you bring a couple bundles of dry firewood and kindling for that great fire in the firepit.
