About this property
Romantic LOG CABIN on Stilly River w/ Hot tub! Setup for 2 people only
I’m an Artisan Log Cabin perched high above the Stilliguamish River. You can find me hiding in the morning shadow of Mt. Pilchuck and always with a watchful eye on the river valley below. As you drive past my gate and enter the 10+ acre property, you’ll be greeted and surrounded by nature and wildlife on every side. Upon crossing my threshold, you will immediately notice that many moons ago each and every log was meticulously selected, cut, hand-scraped and placed with precision high above the river’s edge. My view from each and every window has your ‘serenity now’ in mind!
Inside my walls, I’m tastefully decorated with stuff of old and new, but I’d much rather draw your attention to the beauty that’s all around me. Sometimes you just need to get away. To rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit, and take a break from society. A cozy, romantic log cabin tucked far away in the forest is perfect for this. No people around, only peace and nature. The forest is not merely an expression or representation of sacredness, nor a place to invoke the sacred; the forest is sacredness itself. It’s a living cathedral! Come and experience this sacredness at the River Ranch. Rest, relax and rejuvenate!
Inside, you’ll have over 2000 square feet to unwind. Outside, you’ll have a nature sanctuary to engulf you.
Cozy up to the wood burning stove with a good book. Soak in the hot tub outside or the jacuzzi bath tub for 2 and watch the hummingbirds right outside. Make s’mores while star gazing. Nap on the handmade swing and listen to the babbling brook that runs along the entire property. Watch eagles catch fish in the Stilly River below. Feed the squirrels, birds and chipmunks on the back deck. Binge watch a show on Netflix or Amazon video on one of the 3 flat screen TVs. Sit on the front porch and watch the deer feed on an apple tree. Cook a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Reconnect with your partner over a fun board game. Your possibilities are endless at the River Ranch.
Guests have access to everything inside the cabin except the master closet. Guests are not allowed to venture off into any areas of the property with critical slope. **Please note, as this is our personal residence and due to medical reasons, we have a service animal exemption and cannot accept service animals or emotional support animals of any kind.

This was our second stay here, and we had another amazing, relaxing stay. The cabin is stunning and so comfortable, we couldn't have asked for anything more. We will happily stay here again!
The home was absolutely beautiful. Scenerary was beyond amazing, perfect view with our morning coffee. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!!
Our stay was amazing! The views (and hot tub) were incredible and we had a wonderful time. The hosts were very kind and we look forward to coming back!
I really really enjoyed my time at this property. The outdoor living room was just perfect, watch some tv while looking out past the deck to the beautiful landscape was too perfect. Then a quick hop over into the hot tub was the icing on the cake. If you’re looking to get away from city life but having a small town near, well this space is perfect. The Clarks were great host and made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Truly a place I’ve got marked for a future revisit!!!!
We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation in a more perfect home. The view is stunning, the home was very clean, and no detail was spared for a romantic stay. The owners are on the property in the guest house, but we didn't even see them the entire time unless we needed help with something - and they were available quickly and extremely friendly. We would stay here again and again!!! We were so sad to leave. The property is conveniently located about 15 minutes from downtown Arlington. Shopping was excellent, coffee shops were delicious, and so many scenic drives and national parks nearby. You will not be disappointed.
The view and home is breathtaking! Home is very clean, not disappointing! Hot tub with a beautiful view! Deck to enjoy the sun and nature. Will definitely come back again! Let’s not forget the hosts. Very welcoming and available if anything is needed!
VERY beautiful cabin. Lots of intricate detail. The creek and the waterfall plus the front view of the mountain and the river were my favorite. Chris and Charlie are excellent hosts. Very respectful and instantly responsive. I loved staying here.
It was an absolute pleasure and great experience. The view was spectacular and the lodge was absolutely beautiful and clean inside and out. Chris was a great guy, he made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our time together. We are definitely going back and we will spread the word for sure. What an incredible scenery up there!!!!
This property provided the perfect escape for my husband and I to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, relax, and enjoy quality time together. The peaceful setting, thoughtful details, and welcoming atmosphere created an experience that exceeded our expectations and made our stay truly memorable. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking views. Whether enjoying a morning cup of coffee or watching the evening light settle over the landscape, the scenery was absolutely stunning and added so much to the peaceful atmosphere. It felt like a place where time slowed down and you could truly appreciate the beauty around you.We also loved the beautiful kitchen. It was thoughtfully designed, well-equipped, and a joy to cook in. Preparing meals together while taking in the incredible views made for some of our favorite moments of the trip. Pots, pans, dishes and some basic cooking essentials were Even though the hosts were staying on the property during our visit, the space felt incredibly private and secluded. They struck the perfect balance of being available if needed while giving us plenty of room to enjoy our time together. The accommodations were comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully maintained. We left feeling refreshed, rested, and grateful for such a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic retreat and can't wait to stay here again.
What a beautiful home with amazing views and everything you need for a relaxing stay. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure. Thank you to the Clark family for being so hospitable
This cabin exceeded every expectation. The cleanliness, hospitality, decor, landscaping, and patio space were next level, and the views were stunning. 10/10 would stay here again of returning to WA!
What an incredible blessing that the Clarks are sharing their home with others. By far our most favorite and relaxing place to stay!! And how nice of Charlie to welcome you when you first get there and walk you through the house, making sure you know where everything is located. The views from all the back windows and back porch are breathtakingly beautiful!! Our stay was for 10 days. With the house being centrally located it allowed for half of our time to be spent hiking in the mountains, seeing an incredible waterfall, visiting the nearby whidbey island, attending the tulip festival, walking the Centennial Trail through the surrounding small towns, visiting Farm stands, and eating at some incredible restaurants. The other half was spent relaxing at the house, enjoying the hot tub, exploring the secret trail through the woods, listening to the waterfall, watching birds, chipmunks, and squirrels, and just taking in the view!! The Clarks have thought of everything you will need!! And the bed, the couch, the recliners are so comfortable. This place is truly a piece of heaven on earth!! We hope to return for another getaway soon!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Very relaxing and the view from the cabin is stunning. The hosts stay at a guesthouse on the property, but give you privacy for a romantic stay. It was wonderful for my husband's birthday, would love to come back

About the host
Hosted by Charles Clark
I grew up in the 1940’s in the backwoods of Louisiana next to 10 mile creek. I met my wife, who grew up in Kentucky, while working for the FBI in DC. We eventually migrated to Texas, had a family and retired. We are now here in PNW to be closer to a few of our grandkids.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property the moment we saw it. While it’s completely different from Louisiana and Texas, it is steeped with such a rich and intense beauty that reminds us of our childhood, living in the country and a simpler time. We love being able to share this unique property with others!
What makes this property unique
Once you drive through the gate, you can tell immediately that you’re in a sacred place. However, it doesn’t really hit you until you walk in the front door of the Log Cabin and you’re face-to-face with a view that will literally take your breath away! One of my favorite things is seeing a guest’s face as they walk through the door and see the view for the first time. We get to share that moment together and it truly is PRICELESS!!!
