Magical Cottage Right on Bolina's Lagoon

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lagoon. Watch the pelicans dive, the seals frolic, the osprey soar as the tide ebbs and flows directly below the deck. Play in the sand and ocean surf(direct access to the lagoon from the deck), collect shells along the beach or kayak (Kayak and canoe provided) with the seals in the lagoon.

Hike or Bike in the nearby Golden Gate National Recreational area or along the Bolinas Ridge in the Mt. Tamalpais watershed. In minutes you can walk to town and browse through the diverse shops unique to Bolinas. Or, simply enjoy the magnificent views from every window as you snuggle up on the window seat or next to the wood burning stove.

We enjoyed the view of Seadrift and the lagoon from Lynda’s deck. Really an amazing location! The fireplace made our evening cozy and the house is just steps away from “downtown” Bolinas with its market, cafe and music venue.

This is a beautiful property along Bolinas Lagoon. This home has everything you can possibly need for a wonderful stay. The owners communicated with us and made sure that we had everything we needed and or understood how to use the heating stove. We are so happy to have rented here.

We loved our stay at this cottage on the water in Bolinas. Even though it was pouring rain outside we were enjoying watching mother nature at work with fog, rain, sea lions, water birds and more. The location is perfectly located to easy trips to Pt Reyes and Stinson Beach and all of west Marin. Wood burning stove worked well to keep us snuggy.

Well, the Magical Cottage was indeed magical. Right at the mouth of the lagoon, you get a great sense of the power of the tides. Lot's of wonderful sea birds to watch as well as some curious seals coming to visit. The cottage was cozy and comfortable and the hosts were lovely and very responsive.

The house was beautiful with gorgeous views. Lots of wildlife to watch. Very relaxing location. Cute little town. The only drawback, there wasn't a jetted tub as stated in the listing.

We loved staying at the Bolinas cottage: the view was fantastic, the location perfect for beach walks, and having kayaks and a canoe provided was an unexpected thrill for paddling about the bay!

Just perfect

We so enjoyed the seaside cottage. We were in great need of a peaceful family vacation weekend, and this was just the place. We found the town of Bolinas charming. The 4th of July community events were fabulous. We will be back!

We loved this charming, homey cottage sitting right in the lagoon. It's a short walk to town for coffee, shopping or meals, but far enough away that it is peaceful. The wood burning stove was cozy and did a great job heating the place. The house is well stocked with everything one might need. There are kayaks to use, as well. There is one private bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The living room is large with a sleeper sofa and cozy window seating with great views of water and wildlife.

Great vacation

The views from the property were so beautiful. Even though most days I was there, it rained I walked on the beach every day because it was so close, and the cottage was so comfortable. I hope to come again next year.

Sunrise and sunset beach walks, fresh oysters down the road, making new friends and dancing at smiley’s, and ALL the birds!! I had an amazing time. Can’t wait to go back. Magical cottage indeed!

A naturalists haven

Truly a special place. We loved fishing off the deck, watching the herons nesting in the pine trees and saluting the seals as they swam by. The house was perfect and the town of Bolinas has everything - even a great organic store. I can't wait to get back there.

Beautiful Location & Feels Like Home

We had an amazing weekend watching sea life from the living room and deck of this amazing home. The location is unbeatable, the host is very welcoming, and the home feels like family beach house, which is perfect for a stay in Bolinas. Our only error was not staying longer. Looking forward to a return trip!
