Relax at Lavender House for a week and experience all the unique local specialties Point Reyes has to offer; Brickmaiden Breads, Bovine Bakery, Point Reyes Books, Cabaline General Store, Leona's, Vita, Culture Shop and of course Toby’s Feed Barn, host of the Saturday Farmer’s Market (seasonal).

We spent two nights at Lavender cottage and highly recommend this lovely cozy place. Everything has been designed for your comfort, from the fragrant garden when you enter to the roomy seating areas inside and out and plenty of towels and flip-flops for a trip to the hot tub.

The Lavender House was such a beautiful property and easy place to stay in Point Reyes station. Everything in town was within walking distance. The property was clean and immaculate, we really enjoyed eating together in the dining room and lounging in the backyard. We’d love to stay here again the next time we’re in the area.

Perfect location!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Lavender House. It is a beautiful house with a lovely front garden and a perfect backyard with a hot tub nestled right below some jasmine- doesn’t get much better than that. The house is a block away from the adorable town and easy drives to Pt Reyes National Seashore.

A lovely respite

This cottage has all the comforts of home and is a short walk into town. It’s clean and well-appointed, with a lovely deck and backyard hot tub. Everything you could want!

Point Reyes Birding Festival Stat

We stayed at the Lavender House during the Point Reyes Birding Festival. It’s conveniently located near town yet very quiet and private. The house is spotless and filled with tasteful comfortable furniture. The kitchen has absolutely everything from coffee making supplies to outdoor serving ware. Both bedrooms have waffle weave cotton robes and slippers. Highly recommend.

Friends weekend away

We enjoyed our stay! The house was bigger than anticipated and very comfortable & cozy. We lost power due to a storm, but still enjoyed our time together to the fullest. Would definitely return !

Another Perfect Visit To The Cottage

Lavender Cottage has been our lodging of choice for many years and many stays. Eileen and Martin keep the cottage exceptionally clean, the kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. The backyard has a hot tub that is a favorite with our family, there is a big table to have outdoor meals in the summertime, and a gas grill that is always read to use. We love that Lavender Cottage is always quiet and peaceful but also walking distance to town. We like to walk in for groceries at Palace Market , pastries at Bovine, music at the Dance Palace, books at Point Reyes Books and great coffee at Toby’s. Point Reyes Station is just a couple of blocks long but it has a lot to offer. There is a great little hiking trail (around the barn) just 5 minutes from the house and many, many other hiking trails just a short drive from the cottage. We are always grateful to Eileen and Martin for welcoming us to what feels like our home away from home.

We loved our stay! Eileen and her partner were very communicative and we felt at home right away. Everything you would ever need had been thought of, which made it easy for us to just enjoy our holiday together. The location is great, too.

Beautiful house and stay.

Home is really perfect for a small family. It's clean and quiet. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well stocked, and when I go back (definitely will try), I'll make more use of it and the local markets including the local sea food. That said, the short walk to town was appreciated after a long day of hiking as was the hot tub. Best I've seen.

Cozy Family Weekend

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2-year-old. We'd traveled in the area several times in the past, but this was our first time staying at Lavender House. In addition to the walking distance to nearby playground, shops, and restaurants, we enjoyed the hot tub, board games, and host-provided coffee. They also have toddler dishes, a high-chair, and step stool, which made our stay easier. We highly recommend buying ingredients for cooking breakfast, especially for early risers, since nearby options are limited. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and cozy, and we would stay here again on our next visit.

Charming cottage just a short walk to grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with cooking essentials like spices, mustard, and mayo as well a pound of Peets coffee!

Charming stay in Point Reyes Station

Gorgeous and impeccably maintained cottage. Pretty gardens, comfortable bed, cozy sitting rooms, well appointed kitchen. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway. Walked a couple of blocks to the delicious bakery in the morning, and to restaurants and shops in the afternoon. Great home base for hiking and exploring the area. Hope to return!

Private lovely cottage

My husband and I came back for a second stay. Eileen has provided such a comfortable home for Point Reyes travelers. The cottage has everything you need and you have a private backyard for dining or reading or soaking in the hot tub. You are on a quiet side street but town is just a block away.

Absolutely lovely little house in Point Reyes Station. The owners have thought of everything. They even provided a high chair for our one-year-old! Loved the selection of beautiful art books. Can't recommend enough.

Welcoming Home in Point Reyes Station

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this attractive and comfortable home in Point Reyes. The gardens in the front and back of the home were thoughtfully designed with flowering native plants that attracted a wide array of birds, including California Quail, CA.Towhee and Spotted Towhee. It was lovely just to sit on the back patio with a cup of tea, a good book from Point Reyes Books, (the wonderful,very well curated local bookstore) and the cool ocean breezes. We look forward to returning again!

A Haven In The Storm

We stayed at Lavender Cottage during some very stormy weather, both literally and figuratively. The coziness and spaciness of the house allowed for us to feel safe and dry from the rain that fell so hard during our stay. The decor is elegant but personal enough that it does feel like a home vs a hotel. The attention to detail in appointments makes this place a true standout; the owner has thoughtfully curated what is in each drawer, on each surface, to maximize a wonderful stay in the area. I highly recommend this property.

Lavender house

The house was smaller and older than we expected but it was enough for 4 people. Only one of the bathrooms has a shower and the kitchen is a bit small and cramped. The dishwasher had a problem and the Wifi unstable at times. The property manager was available and responsive throughput. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Convenient access to stores and restaurants nearby and to the state park. Felt it was a bit pricey for what we got though.

Delightful and peaceful getaway

We spent 4 terrific days at Lavender house this spring. Check in was a breeze and Eileen generously provided us with a lovely spread of cheese and crackers. We explored the incredible beauty of Point Reyes hiking on sunny days and also snuggled up inside during a wild storm. The house is beautifully maintained and spotless. The beds are dreamy with luxurious linens. We slept very well. The house has everything one needs - comfortable furnishing, interesting books and games and a very well stocked kitchen. We were so taken with the deep claw foot bath tub that we didn’t get a chance to try to outdoor hot tub! The outdoor space is lovely and we enjoyed some nice meals on the deck. Eileen was a great communicator and available to answer questions quickly. I highly recommend Lavender House and am planning a return trip soon.
