Our beautiful Villa is located within a gated community with other beautiful homes facing a common park with a stream running through it just 15 min. by car or taxi to the center of Oaxaca! The Villa is surrounded by gorgeous private gardens with 3 patios and a beautiful rooftop sitting area with exquisite views of the San Felipe Mountains and the Oaxaca valley.

All rooms are tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and beautiful beamed ceilings throughout.

Incredible house near Oaxaca centro

Helene's property is stunning. Beautiful art, lovely sunlight, comfortable beds. She is a super lovely host. The property is a 10 min drive outside the city. I recommend having a car or getting a taxi drivers number in order to get in and out.

Spectacular place

Over the last few years living in Mexico, my family and I have stayed at a number of vrbos—a few bad, many good, and a few fantastic. This one tops them all. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The pictures, lovely though they are, don’t do it justice. Helen and Chris made us feel like we had been neighbors for years as soon as we stepped in the door. I cannot recommend it enough. If you are coming to Oaxaca and would like to feel immediately at home (albeit a home far more lovely than ours is likely ever to be), stay here.

Beautiful home but not private

This house is beautiful with perfectly manicured gardens and is set by a tranquil rushing stream. The neighborhood is superior and there is attention to detail throughout the lovely home. But if privacy is important, this is probably not the rental for you. The owners, quite kind and well-intentioned, stay in an attached apartment and are almost always on the property. They came into the house frequently, completely unannounced. It's a little like staying with your in-laws but paying to do so.

Let us introduce ourselves. My name is Helene and that handsome bald guy is my husband Chris and we are now celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary! We are so fortunate to have 3 wonderful children, all happily married with grandchildren!

Over the years, we have lived in places like Montreal, Switzerland, Lima, Peru, Toronto, Vancouver and are now retired and living in the beautiful city of Oaxaca, Mexico!

Once we became empty nesters, we began to welcome foreign students because we enjoyed their company and enjoyed being surrogate Mom and Dads and feeling useful!

Now that we are in Oaxaca, we decided to open our home to guests from abroad so we can get to know and serve travellers
