Encantadora casa de 2 pisos ubicada en el corazón del centro histórico de la ciudad de Oaxaca, a escasos minutos caminando para visitar museos, parques, zócalo (plaza principal), restaurantes, mercados (de artesanías y comida), comercios, hospitales, bancos, iglesias, atracciones culturales, teatros, andador turístico, artesanías y servicios de transporte en general.

La casa es muy bonita y lujosa cuidando hasta el mas mínimo detalle para garantizar que su estancia sea lo mas placentera posible. Amplia cocina con todo lo indispensable para la elaboración de alimentos y mesa redonda. Baño completo con regadera, tina y tocador, un baño completo y un medio baño. Amplias y confortables habitaciones con ventilador. Dos pequeñas salas. Cuarto de lavado y planchado. Patio.

In the middle of it all

The property is large and very close to the market. It’s right in the center so there’s definitely traffic and crowds but we expected the hustle and bustle. We also got to see a Christmas procession from the window which was awesome. Gerardo is an attentive host. The markets are within walking distance. Great kitchen for cooking. I would recommend having a few more cooking utensils and a cutting board to make the experience better. We had an amazing time! Recommend this place for people wanting to be in central Oaxaca near Zocalo and markets!

Wonderful Stay in Oaxaca!

We had a wonderful stay here for 5 nights! We were 4 adults (2 couples) and had plenty of room in the house. Some items that were not so great: 1) The noise outside was loud all day long and into the night. We were here during a holiday so there were lots of people. 2) The beds are VERY firm. By the 4th and 5th night, we did not sleep well. 3) There were alarms outside that went off several nights and did not go off for long periods of time. 4) There is one BIG full bathroom but the 2nd full bathroom is very small and has no plug in the bathroom. The things we loved about the house: 1) The kitchen was well stocked and very functional. We had everything in there that we needed. 2) The lock on the door was automatic and you put in a code - we felt very safe and it was great not having to carry around a key. It was a very convenient perk! 3) EXCELLENT location to the center of town. 4) The house is very roomy, VERY clean and had lots of hot water! 5) The host is very responsive, very kind and helpful, great communication with him. He gave great suggestions and helped with everything we needed!

The host, Gerardo, was just outstanding. He went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Was very responsive to our request and came by to fix a minor issue. The area around the property is noisy, so be prepared to not get as much rest as you expect. The alarm of a nearby store went off every single night, sometimes more than twice each night. The mattresses were stiff as a board. The house overall is extremely clean and very centrally located. We felt safe walking around at all hours of the day and night.
