In 2013 I decided it was time for our family of 5 to have a place on the water. I wanted a place for us to visit and spend summers building memories together. This property was one of the first places I looked at. When we drove down the long driveway and I saw the view of the water, the cluster of birch trees and the charming shingled homes, I knew I needed to own it. After spending a little bit of time checking it out, I could see my kids and future grandkids there. It took nearly 9 months for the owner changing her mind back and forth to finally sell it to me.
Our family, extended family and friends spent every summer here relaxing together and building memories. As time has gone on and my children are now grown with one married and two in college in another state, our time at our beach house has dwindled dramatically. We couldn't bear the thought of selling it so we decided to share it with others who would find it as magical as we have. We hope those that have the opportunity to rent it will treat it as we have and leave with a plethora of memories and a love of nature and the Puget Sound.
