Ravens Landing Studio is really away from it all. High atop a hill with views west of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound. It faces west so it catches the sun late into the afternoon. We finish the day with spectacular sunsets.
Miles of walking and biking trails are just up the hill from my home. Fishing, kayaking, beach combing, exploring and just minutes from the Olympic Peninsula. Bainbridge Island and Kingston ferries are thirty five and twenty minutes away respectively.
Excellent space for writing, painting, relaxing and dreaming. Raven's Landing Studio is a 400 sf studio space with a cozy queen size bed. The space is great for most but if you are over six feet it may be a bit of a squeeze. Most love the beauty of the space and the size has not been an issue.
There is a large deck with a gas grill out the French doors. Eating bar, mini kitchen complete with microwave, induction cooktop, coffee maker, convection oven, electric tea pot, kitchen sink, dishes, coffee, tea, etc. Small bistro table on the deck for morning breakfast or a glass of wine to finish off your day. A kayak and mountain bike are available. Granola, oatmeal, 2% organic milk, granola bars and fresh fruit are complementary.
Hiking and biking trails are minutes away. Point no Point Beach and Light House five minutes away. Buck Lake swimming park five minutes away. Small grocery store and restaurant three minutes away. Nature Preserve five minutes away. Excellent fishing, mushroom hunting and crabbing in the fall and summer. I’m sorry, I am unable to accept any dogs at this time. A cat may work out if they are indoor only.

What a terrific stay. The home and its location were both wonderful. The hostess was wonderful. It was all-around terrific. The home is about equidistant to Poulsbo and Kingston, so while it feels “away from it all” you’re not isolated if you don’t want to be. Great parks and beaches nearby, too. I want to go back sooner than later.
This property was exactly what I was looking for. If you’re looking for a quiet and very comfortable retreat away from the city, this is it. The view of the Sound and Olympic Mountains alone make the trip worth it, but what took it over the top was Darcy’s welcome and hospitality. The place was also clean, and felt more like a home away from home, than just a place to sleep. There are adequate accommodations for two adults, plenty of places to sit and read, contemplate, meditate, or just have a nice glass of wine while watching the sunset. I will definitely be back, next time, I’m bringing my spouse.
Very comfortable & stunning view of water & mountains. Host had everything ready & no issues getting in & settled. It’s quiet & Darcy’s artistic style is wonderful. Highly recommend for short or long term stays.
Darcy’s place is an absolute gem in Hansville. Quiet with gorgeous Mountain View’s in a cozy col-de-sac. The space is artfully decorated, and was just enough space for a landing pad for our adventures. Check in was straight forward and easy.
Beautiful location! Best view of the entire Olympics Range I have ever seen.Quaint and very well planned out but small studio quarters.Cozy, comfortable bed. Clever use of limited space allows for preparation of small meals.Note: could use just a few more settings of flatware.Delightful and restful.
I had a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful stay at Raven’s Landing and Darcy is truly a pleasure to work with! I would love to visit that area again and highly recommend Raven’s Landing…
Stayed here while I was in town working. Beautiful view that never gets old. Darcy is easy to communicate with and is very accommodating. Looking forward to staying here again if I get so lucky.
We stayed at Raven's Landing while attending a family reunion down the street and it was just perfect. It was close to the Hansville Store, Hood Canal, hiking trails and the family cabin. The cottage was very comfortable and the views from the deck were stunning. Darcy was a gracious hostess and very helpful.
The view on the back porch is breath taking. There were days I just didn’t want to leave. Darcy is an amazing and attentive hostess. I hope to be back!
We had a peaceful stay at this property. The unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and the view outside the french doors was spectacular. We especially liked watching the birds visit the bird feeders. Owner was responsive.
Gorgeous property landscaping and view. Attractively furnished and very clean. Perfect for one person or a couple w/zero interest in any cooking. Refrigerator is dorm room sized and and there is no umbrella to shade the deck from direct afternoon sun. Wonderfully quiet and very pretty place to stay. Kind and responsive host.

I’m so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Ravens Landing Studio. I am surprised to hear you weren’t able to cook since I have had many guest stay for months and use the supplied induction cook top, convection oven, slow cooker, gas grill and microwave. It is a small kitchen but that goes with the small space.
You are the first guest that commented on no shade on the back deck. I do have an extra shade umbrella so I will supply that for my future guests. Ibakways work on improving my Airbnb to make it as comfortable for all my guests. Thank you fir the kind words and the suggestion to offer shade on the back deck. Take care, Darcy
I stayed here as a home away from home for 3 months due to a huge renovation going on at my house. It was just right. I was able to cook & could have used an outdoor grill but it was mostly winter while I stayed. The bed was so comfortable that I plan to get one for my guest room. The view - stunning. Night time sounds of thousands of tree frogs which was super cool. My basset hound loved it even more than I did as it had easy access to a nice big yard & easy walks right out the front door. My only thing was the shower was a beautiful claw foot tub I had to climb in & out of (only because I’m 66 yo & short :-) But, I was on slow-down mode & took more baths than I do when I’m home because I’m always so busy. So I really can’t complain about that. The area is really special. Just down the road from one of the most spectacular beaches on our peninsula- Point No Point. There are a couple very nice places for a hot meal & groceries. Host Darcy was super wonderful & nice to have found a new friend & neighbor. I will be recommending Ravens Nest to future visitors & highly recommend to anyone needing a place on the Kitsap peninsula near so many beautiful places to visit - Hoh Rainforest, Pacific coast, Seattle etc. Thank you Darcy!!
Lovely place to recuperate and find tranquility. Disappointed to discover no hot tub or even directions of where to locate said hot tub in her listing. If you post states that you have it please make sure you have it clearly marked and ready for client use. That was one of the reasons we booked here. The place was very lovely and quiet. May return again. Thank you

Hi Cynthia,
I’m so sorry that you were expecting a hot tub. I had only one other guest mention this just recently and I double checked and somehow spa had been checked on my amenities. I did remove this. But I’ve never had any other guests in eight years mention this. I think it was a weird glitch in the system and I corrected it. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay regardless of not having a hot tub. I am so sorry about this!

Weekend Stay
The property itself is lovely and has a beautiful view. It is not set out away from other houses. While there is a separate entrance to the room, it is not a separate property. We were greatly uncomfortable that there was a shared wall with a door leading into the rest of the house, even though it was covered by a piece of cloth. In addition, the property was occupied which was NOT mentioned anywhere in the description, including open windows on the deck so there was no privacy. The indication that it is a romantic getaway is misleading as we were not alone, were fully aware of the two people on the property, and felt very uncomfortable to speak above a whisper. It should be clearly identified in the listing that it is an occupied/shared space so that people can take that into consideration when choosing to stay.

About the host
Hosted by Darcy Herrett
I am an artist that loves to travel. I enjoy going to new places and meeting new people. I have traveled using Airbnb within the US as well as overseas. I love to get away for just a weekend to reset my outlook on life. I have hosted travelers in my studio in the past and loved the experience. I opened Raven's Landing ten years ago. I really enjoy welcoming new people to our beautiful area!
Why they chose this property
I chose this property because of the west facing view of the Olympics and Hood Canal. I love that it feels away from it all while it really is only twenty minutes to the Kingston/Edmond Ferry and forty minutes to the Bainbridge Island/Seattle Ferry. I designed this home and love to share the private studio with travelers.
What makes this property unique
Raven's Landing Studio is only minutes from Point no Point beach with miles of beach walking, I am also minutes away from Buck Lake for swimming in the summer as well as the Nature Reserve just down the road for a brief walk through the woods opening up to a drop dead gorgeous view of Hood Canal. There are also mountain bike and walking trails just up the road from my home. Fishing and kayaking are just minutes away. I have a hybrid mountain bike as well as a kayak that guests are welcome to use as well.
