This cabin was beautiful, spacious, and very well stocked. Loved the deck and the fire pit as well as the pool and fooseball tables. There was somethingvto do for everyone. Neighborhood was very cute and quiet. Far enough off the main roads to feel secluded, but just a short drive into town. It easily accommodated 7 adults and 4 kids. Communication with the owner was great and we had no issues at all! Loved this cabin!!!

Disappointing stay
The name of the property is designed into piece of metal which was attached to a rotted post that had fallen over. This is right beside the driveway and is the first thing you see. It was very indicative of the rest of the property. Although listed, there is no coffee grinder. Cutlery desperately needs sharpening. No sponge or anything to wash dishes with.Main level fireplace, non functioning. Furniture so worn out you have to sit on pillows to have any support in the seat. Ceiling fans have years of dust build up. Master Bedroom TV did not work. Sink stoppers broken or missing in bathrooms. Down bath smells do mold. Visible mold on walls. Downstairs smoke detector beeping. Pool table is smaller than standard. No chalk for pool cues. Hot tub leaked water. We were able to fill up and it leaked back down overnight. Tub would not heat up but stayed in the low 90s. Host has covered a hole in the gutter with tape. This gutter constantly leaks into the deck near the entry door. They have a rubber mat placed over the area on the deck. If it’s cold this area freezes. It’s the only wet area on the deck and poses a hazard. My brother slipped and fell because of this random icy spot on the deck. There are other issues like broken furniture piled bedside the house, broken downspout on the ground, stone falling off the wall, that don’t necessarily impact our comfort but just speaks to the property. For 466/night after fees, I wish we had stayed somewhere else.
The cabin was perfect for our family of 10 with space for everyone. It was greatly enjoyed by young and old. We skied a day at Cataloochee, had a nice relaxing lazy rain day at the cabin and then enjoyed a day over in Gatlinburg. Thank you so much!
Beautiful Cabin – Spacious, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located!
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. The property is much larger than it appears in the pictures, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The cabin was impeccably clean, very comfortable, and well-equipped.The location is fantastic—just a short drive to Cataloochee Ski Area for skiing enthusiasts, about 45 minutes from Asheville for a day of exploring, and around 1 hour and 45 minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, we recommend checking road conditions if you're heading to Gatlinburg, as closures extended our return trip to almost 3 hours. The cabin itself had everything we needed. The pool table was a standout feature—level and well-maintained. The water pressure in the showers was excellent, and there were plenty of rooms to accommodate our group comfortably. Communication with the owners was seamless, and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. This is a fantastic place to stay, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway in the area. We can't wait to come back!
Beautiful property and responsive owner. Highly recommend.

Roomy Cabin
Cabin was roomy and well stocked in kitchen. However, the living room furniture is worn and could be updated. After a washer of clothes, the dryer wouldn’t work so I had a load of wet clothes to hang around on hangers to dry. Owner’s reply was a part was ordered to repair the dryer & hadn’t come in. The cabin could also use a detailed cleaning.

The location is great for area attractions. Very nice home but could use a deep cleaning. Most beds were very good while one was not. Living room chairs could use an upgrade.
We spent a week in the Smoky Mountains with extended family. There was 11 of us which included 2 young children. Everyone was happy with the accommodations. The house is very close to the southern border of the national park. There was little to no traffic from Maggie Valley (house location) to various water holes, hiking, tubing, etc. The host were quick to respond with occasional questions about the house or area. I would recommend this house to my friends.
Property looks exactly as listed. Plenty of room for a larger family and children. Plenty of games/entertainment for the kids as well. Will be staying here again for future family trips.
We had seniors in their 70's and 50's then teenagers and younger children. Waverly lodge is gorgeous and we loved the privacy of the cabin. Road is steep but we managed just fine with a Ford Transit Van. Plenty of room for everyone. We had a couple MINOR hiccups but all was figured out quickly as hosts were awesome to deal with and responded very quickly. Thank You so much for allowing us to make so many memories at Waverly Lodge and we look forward to returning soon!! OH this cabin is NOT handicap friendly. Lots of stairs but was fine for us. Thank You again and I would definately recommend this lodge
Beautiful log cabin inside n out. Very spacious. Clean and comfortable. Awesome scenery. Family did not want to leave. Thank you for having us. Very satisfied.
This place is absolutely beautiful. It was everything we were looking for plus more. Would recommend to anyone and will be staying here again. Thanks for the hospitality!
Great location!!! So close to skiing, tubing and close to town. We had a great time in this beautiful home!!! The hot tub was great after a day and night of skiing! Highly recommend this property!
The house was clean and perfect for our group. We were able to have a complete Christmas dinner with all 14 of us at the table. Three infants in laps. We had fun playing games and opening presents. Each family had a room to themselves. Everything was clean and working. The hot tub and fire ring were there but too cold and raining to enjoy. Definitely would stay again if in the area.
Such a pretty house with tons of space. Lovely kitchen. Hot tub was being fixed when we got there and took two days to get hot, so that kind of sucked. But other than that, it was truly a perfect cabin and stay! We would definitely stay here again.
Everything exactly as advertised, and more. We were worried about kitchen items (pots, pans, utensils, etc) and there was an abundance of anything needed. Plenty of sleeping space and space in general, for 12 men to hang out, and even spend time on their own. Firepit area was great. Hot tub worked perfect. Plenty of parking.
