About this property
The Woodpecker Cabin on Guemes Island with Hot Tub!
This adorable Guemes Island cabin offers 960 square feet of bright, open living with an easygoing island vibe. The open floor plan is filled with natural light, warm wood accents, and tall ceilings that create a sunny, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step inside.
The cabin comfortably sleeps four. The primary loft features a cozy memory-foam queen bed, while the second loft offers a firmer full-size (double) spring mattress with a foam topper. The sofa can also accommodate an additional guest, and a cot with padding and bedding is available upon request for extra flexibility.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for easy island meals, including a breakfast bar, large toaster oven (big enough for two 15” pizzas), microwave, two-burner cooktop, refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, French press, and all necessary cookware, dishes, utensils, glasses, and mugs.
The bathroom offers a simple, comfortable shower stocked with basic essentials, and the cabin is maintained using environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout. Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional $100 cleaning fee, so your furry companion can join in on the adventure.
Step outside to enjoy the private, fully fenced yard featuring a deck, outdoor dining table, barbecue, and a hot tub tucked into the backyard — perfect for relaxing under the stars. The fire ring, located up the hill in the yard, is ideal for winding down after a day of island exploring. (Please bring your own firewood, or let us know in advance if you’d like us to arrange a bundle.)
A ceiling fan and heat pump keep the cabin comfortable year-round. High-speed wireless internet is provided, though island service can be slightly slower than city speeds and may occasionally dip briefly. For cozy evenings indoors, the Smart TV is ready for streaming your favorite shows. One small tip: the floors are mostly tile, so house slippers are a great idea if you have tender or cold feet.
Simple, comfortable, and full of island charm, this cabin makes it easy to settle in and truly enjoy your time on Guemes.

This cabin is awesome! Very well equipped, very clean, quiet, and peaceful. The property manager was also fantastic! We loved how serene the setting was, and enjoyed looking at all the deer that came to visit.
Very chill spot. PNW if that is what you want. I only regret that I feel like we disturbed the family of deer that obviously live nearby, but they were very cool about it. Hot tub was good, and my old little dog slept on the porch like she was at a 1k an hour spa. 10/10.
The cabin was exceptionally clean and quite adorable. We enjoyed the privacy and the tranquility offered by such a gentle atmosphere. The island was wonderful and we enjoyed exploring the beaches and the mountain.

Thanks for staying and for leaving the cabin such amazing condition! Come back anytime:)
The home is lovely, with beautiful wood, tile work, and art. The amenities provided were great, and the yard perfect for our dogs. However, this is not a good choice for folks 70 in age! My husband couldn’t use a bed because of the steep and narrow stairs, and I stepped CAREFULLY to get upstairs. Great place, just not for seniors!
Great place! As olds, we had a bit of a hard time with the stairs, but the cottage was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds super comfy, the location quiet and peaceful. Perfect getaway from the city.
As advertised. Nice quite and really enjoyed the hot tub. Would stay here again for sure. Only problem was the wonderful welcome book came apart and I could not re thread the pages on the plastic spine. Very nice stay.

Wonderful Pet Freindly Rental Home
Extemely clean. Thoughtfully furnished - everything needed was at hand. It was very cozy and comfortable. The fenced backyard was great for our Scottish Terrier.
We look forward to visiting again.
The property was well maintained. Registration was completed easily for a last minute reservation. Our two small dogs enjoyed the outdoors in the fenced backyard. The beds were comfortable. One full, one queen, one futon. One shower, toilet and sink. The hot tub was very relaxing. Everything was well organized with easy to understand instructions. Had an enjoyable stay!
We stayed on Guemes Island as part of a longer Island trip, and this cabin was a very comfortable getaway to relax as well as base camp for some exploration. We spent two nights and poked around the island and Anacortes while we were there. The scenery was lovely! The house itself was very clean, had all the necessities, and was in a peaceful setting with a cute backyard. We enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit and reading on the porch.
This was our first time to Guemes Island. We were pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the house it was very cozy. Had all the amenities we needed minus a fully functional stove top. Luckily we didn’t need 2 large burners but if we had it would have been frustrating to cook on that stove.
We are a fun-loving family that enjoys traveling and adventures. We love our home and are excited to share it with others. We are not far so please let us know if there is anything that you need during your stay that is not already provided. We want you to be comfortable and happy!

The home itself is cute and has great lighting with tall ceilings, and skylights. Total open floor plan with lofted beds.

The opportunity to be on an island makes it feel farther away and more remote. The ferry is a small county ferry that takes you across the channel in 7 minutes.
