About this property

Year Round Recreational Fun on Embden Pond!

This newly renovated lakeside 3-bedroom (6 bed) home that sleeps 10 people is the perfect spot! It’s steps from Embden Pond/Lake, one of the top 3 clearest, cleanest deep spring-fed lakes in Maine. Enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and mountainous Kennebec Valley. With a sandy beach and swim dock only a 2min walk away, a public boat launch just steps away, hiking and snowmobile trails right outside the door and only a 40 minute drive to Sugarloaf Ski Resort, you can enjoy this home all year round.

Details:
* 1st floor Master bedroom, with a queen-size bed, walk-in closet and TV.
* 2nd bedroom has two rooms separated by a door providing you with two private sleeping areas, one has a full-sized bed, closet and TV and the other room has a twin pull out trundle bed that sleeps 2.
* 3rd bedroom with a queen-size bed and one twin-sized bed, closet and TV.
* Fold out full size Sleeper Sofa located in the Family/Dining Sun Room.
* Additional floor mattress is available for use. If needed, just unzip and remove the cover on the large foam-filled bean bag chair, as it converts to a full-size floor mattress, comfortable for 1 adult, or two young children. To revert it back to a chair, simple stuff it back into the cover.
* 2 full bathrooms
* Fully stocked kitchen with all the basic amenities
* Laundry area with washer and dryer
* Heated 2 car garage
* Enclosed heated sunroom and eating area with TV.
* Home is fully heated in the winter and AC in the summer months.
* Hard wired Backup Generator for those Maine winter storms, which covers the essentials for the home; kitchen appliances, most lights and downstairs heat.

This home is located on a private road and next to the public boat launch providing you with easy access to load your boat in and out. You will also have access to the association beach, with a swim dock, as well as a separate deeded right of way for additional private swimming.

*This home makes for an incredible base of operations for several day trips to river rafting, waterfall exploring, hunting, biking and hiking.

*NO PETS or SMOKING

*Outside grill on the patio is available for the renters use. There is usually extra propane left in the tank. If the propane is empty or runs out and you still need to use the grill, the renter can swap it out up the street. This is at the cost of the renter, not the host.

*We look forward to having you enjoy our family home in the heart of vacationland and hope to hear from you soon.

Summer get-a-way
This is the second time at this property. This time we enjoyed kayaking on the pristine pond, and evenings around the fire pit. The house layout was perfect for the 8 of us and everything you could ever need was provided, all we had to bring was the food. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable.

Awesome vacation
We were there for a family vacation with our grandkids. We all enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and just as advertised, even better. We had everything we needed. The hosts checked in with us a couple of times during our stay to make sure everything was going well. They were very responsive. We can’t wait to go back again.

Wonderful Stay
Exactly the location and features we wanted for an extended-family Maine lake vacation experience! The decor, amenities, and layout were a perfect fit for us, and the owner was especially responsive. My wife became a first time paddle boarder, and we explored the entire length of the lake afloat, while everyone enjoyed the nearby swimming beach and shallow cove daily. One of our fondest vacation experiences ever.

Wonderful Place - hosts thought of everything
I have a pet peeve - when you stay at a place and there are not enough facecloths. You stay at a place for 5 days - there are 4 of you - and there are 4 facecloths - i like to use a new one everyday. We could have stayed her a month - and I don't think we would have run out! Maybe a small thing - but just an example of how this place has it ALL. One huge bummer - the weather decided to drop into the 40's and 50's and rain for most of our stay. The pond and nearby walks looked so inviting when we got in Friday night and it was almost 80. Saturday declined to 55 degrees and rained off and on - Sunday - 45 and pouring. Complete bummer - because the area is beautiful and we so looked forward to kayaking and biking. Maybe next time . . .

Perfect!!! Will be back!!!
Clean. Awesome location. Great layout. Went up with friends and family to help do yardwork at another family-member's house for the weekend & needed a centralized place to stay. Mom's house was only a few miles away. Was great to come home at night to cook dinner & let the kids play outside. Lake is steps away (and yes they jumped in!!!). Luckily there was a dryer :) Walked the nearby trail with morning coffee. Would definitely go back. Host was very responsive. Easy check in & check out too. Thank you!!!
