Relaxing, peaceful oasis
This home was perfect for my family's Christmas. It was clean and welcoming. It is a bit remote from town but that was what we wanted and it was a wonderful place to cook, take hikes, sit by the fire and unwind. On a clear day the views of Mt Hood are spectacular!

Relaxing, Quiet with a Great View of Mt. Hood
Beautiful Home, Elizabeth and Greg set us up well with a bottle of wine from one of the many excellent local vineyards. We made a three hour drive to the coast to spend the day at Ecola State Park, Locally - Mountain Biking, Curtain Falls (one of many local hikes). You would not believe the wind surfers on the Columbia River. The girls wanted to take a class, but ran out of time. Mount Hood is an Hour drive. We had a great hike.

About the host

We love the outdoors - especially hiking, fly fishing, and boating the Deschutes - and live and play between Vancouver and the Columbia River Gorge.

We bought our 26 acre property and a 40-ft RV about 8 years ago, sold our house in Vancouver, and moved up to the property to make our daydreams come true. We built this beautiful home - custom designed on a napkin (several napkins) over drinks. After a number of years living here full-time and enduring the commute, we realized our plans were a bit premature as we're not of retirement age yet and our careers require us to spend more time (than we'd like) in the city. So we bought another house in Vancouver, and now use this beautiful mountain retreat as our, and now your, vacation home.

We have two awesome dogs, Boo and Bro, that we are blessed to have in our lives. They love spending time at this property, and if you bring your dogs, we know they will too.

We are committed to providing you a great vacation experience. Let us know if you have any questions. We are just a phone call or text message away, and less than 2-hour drive should you need us onsite during your stay.
