Quaint and comfortable lake house. Sitting outside was unbelievably quiet. Enjoyed watching the deer come by each night. Host (Mike) checked in on us and was very nice and helpful.
We had a wonderful week at our stone cabin by the lake! So quiet…saw lots of deer, jackrabbits, Egyptian Geese, cranes and a visit every morning from a hummingbird! Went fishing on the dock and caught little perch. Walked our dogs countless times each day. Watched a full moon rise over the lake…we were in another world!Mike is great! We like him a lot and he made us feel very welcome. He has kept this rustic gem thriving in the midst of ultra modern rentals. We will be back!
We loved walking by the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing. Watched all the deer by the water and in the yard. Our host left his golf cart to use which was so very nice.
The hospitality was wonderful. The manager was respectful of our privacy and very generous wih amenities. The property access was welcomed with kindness. Beautiful view of lake and the night stars.
This is our 4th or 5th (we lost count) to stay at this house. The host always makes sure that we are okay and have what we need. The house is literally on the water so the views are always amazing every time we visit.
This our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! The property is quiet and overlooks Lake Travis. Easy location to bring your dogs and is a quick walk to the water. This is our family’s favorite vacation spot and we plan to make it a tradition!
Our second time to stay on this lovely property. Very peaceful, private and good location for our needs. The stone cabin has an historic charm and simplicity that is hard to find.
Everything about this property was exactly what anyone could ask for if they imagined a get away. It truly warmed our hearts, and our family will treasure the memories made here forever. Thank you so much Mike for opening your home to us! We enjoyed our weekend, and your company. We'll definitely reach out to stay again.
It was a beautiful property and on the lake. Hosts were friendly and very helpful. Kayaking was fun and sunset amazing. Would definitely stay here again. :-)
One of my favorite places to visit and to relax. The view of the lake is so beautiful and peaceful.

About the host
Hosted by Michael Haas
Michael Haas is a native Texan and Gail Atwater moved to Lago Vista in 1982 to escape the northern winters. We have raised a family on this property and actually lived in Casa de Esperanza for several years until our house was built. Before we lived in it, Gail ran Casa as a bed and breakfast with much success. We are now retired and look forward to sharing this beautiful property with guests again.
