About this property

Luxurious apartment with private beach on Lake Maggiore

The 3 bedroom apartment is located in a beautiful and renovated complex on Lake Maggiore i.e. with direct private access to the lake. The apartment has been recently renovated and almost all the furniture is new and it has been furnished with great care and attention to detail. The entrance to this apartment is located at the entrance to the complex and so offers great comfort level for shopping or for a walk. It is suitable for 4 persons, or utmost two adults with up to three children. Since the kitchen is new and well equipped you can cook quickly. Everything that you need is available In the kitchen, such as sugar, flour, oil, vinegar and many spices. In addition, it has a stereo equipment and a new 55' LED TV along with a sofa (sofa bed 140cm x 200cm) and two armchairs in the living room, which has a Ticinese panoramic window. The bedroom is equipped with a new box spring double bed and a 32' LED TV as you can still comfortably enjoy a movie in the bed or watch the latest news after a long day in the evening. The bathroom is large has a bath, a shower, a washbasin, a toilet and a bidet. The price of course includes the bedding and also hand/ bath towels. You only have to travel with minimal luggage because it also has beach towels for outdoor use. Vira is a very nice Ticino village without too many tourists with the real Ticinese charm with narrow streets and a beautiful beach promenade (not mundane so idyllic and very relaxing). From Vira, one can go on very nice short and longer hikes or take a boat to Locarno or Ascona and the Brissago Island. It is also quite possible to ride to Italy to Luino, Canobbio or on the Borromean Islands by boat. In addition, it has very many objects of interest especially in the surrounding and in the towns of Locarno, Lugano, Bellinzona and Ascona and you can be in Milan rather quickly by car to see its many interesting buildings, the cathedral, theatres and several museums. A holiday with Vira as the base is ideal for exploring Ticino or just to enjoy the private and direct access to the lake fulfills all the desires with regard to recovery and relaxation.

Schöne Wohnung mit einigen Abstrichen

Wir haben die Wohnung gut gefunden. Der Vermieter hat draussen auf uns gewartet. Der Check-in war unkompliziert. Die Wohnung war sauber. Allerdings hat es etwas abgestandene Luft gehabt, da die Wohnung fast keine Fenster hat. Das heisst ein Fenster im Elternschlafzimmer und ein kleines im Bad. Das Kinderzimmer hat gar kein Fenster und der Wohnraum und die Küche haben leider nur ein Fenster das man nicht öffnen kann. Uns hat die frische Luft gefehlt. Die Klimaanlage im Elternzimmer ist recht laut, und jene im Kinderzimmer war defekt. Der Garten und der direkte Seezugang sind sehr schön und gepflegt. Die Wohnung hat keine eigene Terasse oder Balkon. Dies hat uns sehr gefehlt, vorallem am Morgen um draussen den Kaffee zu trinken. Hier würde ein ganz kleines Tischchen schon genügen. Ansonsten waren wir zufrieden.

Leider gab es weder eine Terasse noch einen Balkon. Jedoch in der Anlage nahe dem Wasser mehrere sehr schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Privater Zugang zum See und die Möglichkeit ein Boot zu mieten. Preislich teuer (Schweiz)sowie auch in Näherern Umgebung. Allerdings in Luino Italien sehr nahegelegene preiswerte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Gut ausgestattet Küche, Raumaufteilung speziell, da Esstisch im Flur und Etagenbett im Zimmer ohne Fenster ....

Die Wohnung war bei der Ankunft sehr staubig. Es ist ein umgebautes Hotel (ehem. Empfang) und die Wohnung hatte keinen Balkon, keinen Garten und war sehr dunkel. Auch ist gem. Internet sicher kein Platz für 6 Personen und der angepriesene Supermarkt gegenüber ist seit längerem geschlossen (müsste im Internet angegeben werden). Preis / Leistung sind überhaupt nicht gerechtfertigt. Auch befindet sich der Indorpool gerade in Renovation.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung ganz nah am See ! Besonders in der Küche war alles da !! Leider kein Balkon oder Seeblick , wussten wir aber vorher ! Man kann auch das Essen oder das Frühstück auf einem Tablett nehmen und sich direkt über den See setzen und genießen , Stühle und Tische alles da - 2min Weg ! Auch bei schlechtem Wetter Hallenbad nutzbar Von daher klar weiter empfehlenswert !

Wasser und Berge - eine ideale Mischung

Wir haben uns in der sehr gut und liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung gleich zu Hause und sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage der Wohnung am See ist ideal und auch die gepflegte Anlage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Unser Gastgeber Herr Grütter war sehr hilfsbereit und großzügig! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Sehr schöne Ferienanlage mit Direktzugang zum See

Netter Empfang von Urs Grütter und kompetente Einweisung in die gut eingerichtete Wohnung. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden - man kann echt nur mit den persönlichen Sachen anreisen. Bei Fragen, die im Laufe des Aufenthalts auftauchten, hat Urs Grütter immer sofort geantwortet. Die Ferienanlage enthält einen kleinen Fitnessraum und ein schönes Indoorpool. Die Anlage ist in einem sehr guten und sauberen Zustand und wird vom Hauswart engagiert betreut. Alle Mitbewohner der Anlage haben wir als sehr freundlich und offen empfunden, es gab nette Begegnungen und Gespräche. In Vira hat es einen Einkausladen mit integrierter Bäckerei, eine Tankstelle und einen Kiosk, sowie eine Metzgerei und ein Fischgeschäft mit frischer Ware. Daneben hat es einige Restaurants und ein Takeaway. Wir haben vorallem das feine Essen und die nette Bedienung in der Pizzeria Branca genossen (beste je gegessene Pizzas mit feinem dünnem Teig und herrlichen Zutaten; auch die übrigen Gerichte sind super - erwähnenswert ist auch das Chillöl zur Pizza und die Arabiata-Teigwaren). Daneben waren wir auch im Restaurant Riva und im Kaffee der Tennisanlage - auch da haben wir uns wohlgefühlt. In Vira hat es einen langen Steinstrand und einen schönen kurzen Spazierweg dem See entlang. Wir können nur Gutes berichten und das Vira Lago gerne empfehlen.

Simply the prettiest place we have visited! Breathtaking and the apartment is in a great position. Everyone in the building was friendly and our kids had a great time. They loved the pool and jumping in the lake. The apartment has everything you need and it was great we didn’t need to take bedding, towels and oil etc fir cooking Urs even provided coffee which was a lovely surprise - we love coffee Would definitely aim to return Thank you

The apartment has everything you could need. It was very clean and was so convenient with parking right out front and the access on the ground floor. Bed was very comfortable and the apartment was very child friendly with our 2 little ones. We will definitely stay again!

Exzellente Wohnung mit allem drum und dran

Sehr angenehme und schön eingerichtete Wohnung, welche allen Komfort bietet. Keine Notwendigkeit Kleinigkeiten, wie Salz oder Öl mitzunehmen, da der Vermieter dies bereits anbietet. Während unserem Aufenthalt könnten wir das grosszügig dimensionierte Schwimmbad, wie aber auch gegen Gebühr das Boot für einen halben Tag gemietet. Der Preis für die Bootsmiete war sehr fair berechnet und man hat uns sogar zwei Decken, wie auch Getränke, wie auch Brot für das verfüttern an Enten mitgegeben. Insgesamt ein sehr gutes Angebot, dass ich sehr gerne weiter empfehlen Kann, insbesondere auch wegen der Herzlichkeit des Vermieterpaares.

Why they chose this property

I am now retired and was looking for a nice quiet place to be able to withdraw myself back and relax and found it in the Residenza ViraLago.

What makes this property unique

Residenza ViraLago is located very beautifully and especially, directly on Lake Maggiore with a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. Vira is a small, typical Ticino village with the appropriate private and pristine atmosphere. Ideal are the extremely short distance to shopping, bus stop, pharmacy, to the tourist information, a butcher with daily fresh fish from the lake, to the post office and restaurants. The infrastructure of ViraLago is very good and is in an excellent condition, i.e. with a laundry room (washer and dryer), gym with television, sauna and cold plunge pool and lounge room, indoor pool with massage jets, three lawns (one in front of the indoor pool, another one below with pergola and tables for dining or for enjoying a glass of wine, and a third one towards the private beach with a variety of boats and equipment.
