Completely renovated log cabin located on the beautiful Sturgeon River. Cabin originally built in the 1940's and remodeled in 2021. It has the charm of the old cabin but with updated inside, plumbing, electric, furnishings and amenities. Reed's on the River is located on 350 ft. of the Sturgeon River with 6 other cabins on the property to rent. All cabins have unobstructed views of the river where you can fish or end your tubing/kayaking adventure at your front door. We do allow 6 but know our cabins are very cozy in size and the futon only fits one adult comfortably. The cabin is a perfect spot to visit May through October as the weather is wonderful. The Sturgeon River is very well known for it's fishing, especially in the Spring and the Fall. It is also the fastest flowing river in the lower peninsula of Michigan making it ideal for tubing and adventurous kayaking. The leaves changing in October is a -must see. This cabin has a dedicated fire pit area and picnic table. We have worked hard to provide comfort, fun, beautiful grounds and service so that you can make life long memories. We will be available for anything you might need. We have firewood for sales onsite. We are very pet friendly but over the years we have been renting, unfortunately, we've had a few misbehaving pets that have resulted in us having to adopt a pet policy and a pet fee. We charge $25/night, per pet, with a maximum fee of $250 and a max of 2 dogs.. Upon booking, please call us and we will send policy form and collect payment.

The Reeds were wonderful hosts. They create a welcoming atmosphere with personal touches. The cabins are clean and up to date as they were all renovated last year. I love that the cabin had a scrapbook in it to look through to see the journey of the renovations. I look forward to our next stay with them!

Nice cozy place for 4,but would have been a stretch for 6. Liked having the grill. Only negative was too short io a stay, but that's our fault.

not a great stay and accommodation
Very cold and poor heating in the cabin, there was toilet paper That was dirty on the rack, no blankets and didn’t realize that they charge a cleaning fee of 75$ and make you clean up taking out the garbage and if not you will be charged another 50$.
These cabins are recently updated and remodeled and we loved our stay! We stayed in cabin #1 and it was roomy enough for 4 adults to be comfortable. The beds were comfortable and we found the cabin to be well-stocked with everything we needed including some nice amenities like coffee, some welcome snacks, shampoo and body wash. The screened in porch was nice as was the fire pit! Walk out your door and you are literally at the river. A great location and a great stay!
