About this property

Beautiful, spacious house with pool, between the forest and the beach.

Our lovely house is situated in a peaceful location on the edge of the forest, near the river and just 15 minutes drive from Contis plage: a cool, unspoilt surfing resort with miles and miles of beautiful sandy beaches.
We are five minutes walk from the village centre of Mezos where you’ll find the Boulangerie, well stocked supermarket, a couple of bars and restaurants and a Sunday farmers market.
Our house is the perfect holiday retreat: it’s very spacious and there is lots of outdoor space to enjoy with a pool, terraces, garden and a wonderful shaded terrace with a big dining table for outdoor dining plus a built in barbecue.
Inside, the house is light, airy and spacious with high ceilings and plenty of comfortable furniture, there’s a big living room with open kitchen area, a separate mezzanine area with a television and lounging couch and of course Wi-fi throughout.
We have spent our lives working in the hospitality industry and have paid attention to every detail to make sure you have a wonderful and stress free holiday and that you feel at home “Chez nous”. Have a great holiday here! (We do welcome dogs also!)



Notre jolie maison est située dans un endroit paisible en bordure de forêt, près de la rivière et à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de Contis plage: une jolie petite station balnéaire avec toutes sortes d’activités : Surf, Paddle board et des kilomètres de sable.

Nous sommes à cinq minutes à pied du centre de Mezos, où vous trouverez la boulangerie, un supermarché bien achalandé, quelques bars et restaurants et un marché le Dimanche matin avec des produits fermiers locaux.
Notre maison est la retraite parfaite pour vos vacances, elle est très spacieuse et il y a beaucoup d'espace extérieur avec une piscine, des terrasses, un jardin et une belle terrasse ombragée avec une grande table à manger en plein air et un vrai barbecue.


À l'intérieur, la maison est lumineuse, aérée et spacieuse avec de hauts plafonds et tout le comfort, il y a un grand salon avec coin cuisine ouverte, une mezzanine séparée avec une télévision et un canapé-lit et bien sûr une connexion Wi-Fi. Nous prêtons attention aux moindres détails pour rendre vos vacances merveilleuses et sans stress afin que vous vous sentiez chez vous. (les chiens sont bienvenus!)

House in Mèzos

We had a lovely stay here for a week and the hosts and people who look after the house and pool were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.The house was well equipped like being in a home from home and the pool was lovely too all set in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Would definitely recommend.

Très belle propriété

Quelle jolie surprise que la découverte de cette région où il fait bon vivre en période estivale, surtout dans une propriété d’une propreté et d’un confort irréprochables. Les différents canapés et fauteuils se répartissent naturellement pour chaque occupant et permettent à chacun de garder son intimité tout en restant au contact des autres. Les chambres parentales sont très bien conçues et la literie d’un grand confort. Le bien être est présent jusque dans le jardin bien entretenu agrémenté de la piscine qui nous a permis de disputer plusieurs jeux de ballon entre autres. Enfin notre berger australien a très vite apprécié les balades conseillées par Ruth, notamment celle permettant de se rafraichir à la rivière en contrebas de la maison. Et pour finir quelle belle idée ce potager mis à disposition. Nous nous sommes régalées de poêlées de courgettes. Nous tenons à remercier Ruth pour la qualité de nos échanges que nous avons eu avant et pendant notre séjour. Toujours dans l’intention de nous faire passer un bon moment pendant notre séjour. Merci également à Isabelle pour son accueil et sa présence tout en discrétion que nous avons beaucoup appréciés.

Une grande maison bien équipée, très confortable, bien entretenue. Une piscine chauffée, un espace extérieur calme, un mini-potager à disposition, des jeux pour enfants, des livres et guides touristiques pour découvrir les alentours, un hamac pour la sieste, un barbecue.. Des contacts cordiaux et bienveillants de Ruth et Philippe. Un accueil chaleureux et une grande disponibilité d'Isabelle. Que souhaiter de plus dans cette location parfaite ? La maison est très agréable : propre, spacieuse, parfaitement équipée, tout est fait pour se sentir chez soi durant le séjour. Le jardin est grand, très bien entretenu, tout comme la piscine avec de nombreux transats, et fauteuils. Petit plus : le potager en libre-service. Excellent contact avec les propriétaires qui anticipent les éventuelles questions et fournissent des informations pratiques sur le village et les environs. 5 étoiles !!!

We are an Anglo / French couple who have lived in Mezos for 11 years now, we were looking for a beautiful tranquil place near to the surfing beaches. We love this area and enjoy introducing this quiet corner of France to our guests.
We have worked in the hospitality industry for many years and we want you to feel right at home in our house and to have a relaxing and stress free holiday.

Why they chose this property

We love the calm and tranquility of this area, the friendly people and the laid back atmosphere of the surfing beaches nearby. This corner of South West France is not so well known and not overdeveloped. Nature is all around here.
We love the cycle track which runs behind our house to the beach at Contis Plage and also the tranquil riverside walk just by our house.
We have a great little supermarket, butcher and boulangerie in the village and a couple of restaurants. Nearby in St Julien
En Born are more restaurants and a lively night time scene at Contis Plage.
Everything is there to let you enjoy the best of France!

What makes this property unique

Our house is spacious and bright with a large garden so that you can feel relaxed and comfortable. We have a lovely pool and plenty of places to sit and chill both inside and out. Families and groups of friends like
the idea that there are a several different spaces to either meet together or to enjoy some time alone. The living rooms and bedrooms are spacious and well equipped. This is not a sterile rental property but a real home where we do our utmost to make you feel right at home here. Your dogs are welcome too!
