Welcome to Snow Much Fun at Snowshoe!


Our condo is in the desirable Whistlepunk complex. We have been skiing and staying at Snowshoe since the 80’s, and think Whistlepunk is one of the best locations at Snowshoe. It offers true SKI-IN and SKI-OUT, and since it is on slope level, you literally take two steps from our front door and you are ready to ski, it’s that close! As an added benefit, if you want to ski the western territory, it’s right across the street!

This proximity to the slopes makes everything so simple; eat a warm lunch at the condo, drop a jacket off as the day heats up, grab an extra layer when it cools down, use the bathroom, be the first to ski the trails in the morning after a night-fall of fresh snow. And all this convenience comes without having to lose valuable ski minutes or having to pay locker fees and the high price of lodge fare.

When the day is over our condo continues to afford you a special vacation. Avoid the shuttle and walk right into the condo. There is a large walk-in heated “snow” room where you can leave your gear to warm and dry for the next day. As you enter the condo you will really appreciate the full size fire place and the (1200 sq ft) large open floor plan that gives even groups of 7 plenty of elbow room to relax.

This 2 bedroom 2 bath condo has been newly renovated this season!. New Kitchen, new bathroom, new flooring!. The condo easily accommodates 7 adults comfortably. The master bedroom has a Queen sized bed and a private full bath with Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom has a full and a twin bed. The living room has a sleeper sofa. A pac-n-play is also in the unit.

55' plasma tv (w/DVD/Blue Ray) in the family room and a 42' LCD tv (w/DVD) in the master bedroom. There is also a 20' tv (w/VCR) in the second bedroom - everyone in the family will be happy! There is also a full sized washer and dryer in the unit and new water heater!

When it’s time to venture out and explore Snowshoe, you’ll find that you are only a short walk from the Village. Split Rock Pools is also close - so bring a bathing suit! (There is a daily charge to use the Split Rocks Pool Facility)

When it comes time to dine, there are numerous restaurants you can walk to in the village, but you can also enjoy a home cooked meal prepared in the fully equipped updated kitchen, and then relax in front of the fireplace (free fire wood already stocked inside the snow room) as you plan your next day on the slopes and spend quality time with family and friends.

This is a quiet building that will afford you the vacation you deserve. If you want to stay connected, there is high speed wireless internet access and a phone for incoming phone calls. With a calling card, you can also place out-going calls.

Truly a small slice of Heaven in the West Virginia Mountains.

A true ski in ski out location!

The condo has a great location, on the slopes and close to the ski lifts and restaurants. It gave our family of 4 a lot of flexibility on when to ski, pause, have snack/luncj and make the best out of the 3-day ski stay. The host, Jenni, is great, very responsive and accommodating. The place has everything we needed, the kitchen is well equipped for home cooking.Would love to come back next winter !

We had a wonderful stay at this property!! The condo is very spacious and had plenty of room for our family of 4. The location was great with immediate access to the green runs, which was important to us since our children are young and still learning to ski. The condo had everything we needed to cook meals in, but we also enjoyed the restaurants that were close by. The unloading area was nice to put all our gear in. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!

Perfect location for a great stay

I’ve stayed at many different places at Snowshoe over the past 30 years, and the location of this unit ranks right up near the top for the price. We checked in then walked right next door for dinner at Appalachia kitchen. The next morning, walked out the door and onto the slopes. Really nice fireplace that added a ton to the atmosphere - we really enjoyed this. The furniture and decor definitely aren’t modern, but are well maintained and clean. We’d love to stay here again in the future!

First time staying at Wistlepunk

We visit Snowshoe several times each ski season and have stayed all over the village and this is one of our new favorite locations! Just outside the village so it’s quieter, and you can’t beat it for convenience to the slopes, including Western Territory. The large living room/dining room space with wood burning fireplace was awesome and it was so nice to have firewood right inside the mud room. I also enjoyed hanging out on the back deck and watching skiers go by. We will definitely keep this one in mind for future trips!

Ski out on the slopes, but mice poop…

Our family stayed in this dated condo, but really enjoyed how it was on the slopes and just a shuttle stop or two away from the action; unfortunately there was mice poop all throughout the kitchen (counters, drawers) but the rest of the unit was clean; the fireplace after a long ski day was great;the mudroom was useful!

Convenient Slope Side Family Getaway

This unit is exactly the same as the pictures. Its cozy, warm, and functional. Perfect for a family of four. Fireplace is awesome - its about as slope side as you can get. Individual thermostats for each room and a great heated mud room. It is not updated, but we found it to be priced a little less because of that. We really enjoyed our stay. thank you!

Perfect condo at Snowshoe

My 14 and 12 yr old sons and I stayed at this Whistlepunk condo and loved every minute of it. We were so comfortable here. The beds were excellent. The shower pressure was so good after a day on the slopes. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. Linens and towels are very high quality. You step out the front door onto a green slope. We arrived during a snow storm and maintenance was outside shoveling our walkway for us. You can catch the shuttle to night skiing and anywhere else right out front of the complex. The wood burning fireplace was one of the best parts. We brought a couple easy burn logs and matches and used the free firewood to have a roaring fire every night. We are already planning on booking in February. Best condo ever!

The picture was different than the living space actually was when we got there : the toilet chain needed fixing so it would stop running, it flushed at first then we had to take back off to make sure it had water in it to flush : the coffee pot leaked, seeping out at bottom, it made coffee but had to keep towel around bottom < It probably just needs a good vinegar cleaning : lastly, the refrigerator kept freezing our food , also dryer vent probably needs cleaning out because lint flew around in laundry area and it took a long time to dry stuff... I texted the onsite manager about all this and never heard from him. these weren't major issues to us, so we just put up with them and still enjoyed our stay , but if I were renting this unit out I would definitely fix these issues

Great location BUT…..

My wife, daughter, son in law, two grandchildren and I stayed in unit#9 at Whistlepunk from Jan 24-29, 2025. Would be hard to beat the location of this condo as it truly is a ski in/ ski out and is located on the ground floor right on the Powdermonkey trail. Also Jenni Hasemann whom I dealt with in making this reservation was nothing less than excellent to deal with. Now for the BUT…As stated in previous reviews the unit itself is definitely “dated” and showing its age. It would probably take less than what I paid for our 5 day stay to fix this place up into a very nice place to stay but the owners must no really care about doing any such needed repairs. The unit has a lot of wood on the walls giving it that cabin feel but also making for a darker interior. That is okay but when SEVERAL light bulbs are burned out in various places it really does become darker. Not hard to check and replace bulbs. Also when we arrived the washer was full of towels and rags which we dried without a problem and folded for them but really should not have been left to start with. (? Cleaning team not up to par?). Also there is NO hot water from the kitchen sink and really doesn’t feel good having to wash dishes in cold water so we improvised by hauling hot water in from the bathroom to do our dishes. Also the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was VERY SLOW to drain so we were left standing in water up over our ankles with each shower. The other bathroom toilet would often not seal correctly so

Just what we were looking for

This property was perfect for us. It was large enough to comfortably fit my family of 5. It’s spacious enough we could invite another family of five to hang with us after a day on the slopes, adults chatting at the large table and the kids hanging out in the living room watching a movie. The only thing I could possibly complain about would be the stairs down to the entrance was a hike from the parked car and a bit icy. So once everything was unloaded and we didn’t break our bums on the icy stairs, the location was just off of the green trail. It really is a ski out location and just across the western territory depending on your skiing preference. The property is clean, beds we’re comfortable, and kitchen well stocked. My favorite part was the fire place. We had a fire burning most of the time and warming up by the fire was the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again. Thank you.
