This lovely cabin offers a beautiful view, in a quiet neighborhood. We loved how secluded it felt without being too far removed from conveniences. The home had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and the owner manager was extremely hospitable and helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed exploring the mountains on Balsam Mountain/Heintooga Ridge Road and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had an up close encounter with a group of elk in the Cataloochee Valley.
I would highly recommend this rental!
This was by far the most well appointed rental we have ever stayed in. Besides one small glitch in the beginning of check in, we felt at home and extremely comfortable. The home felt like our own and we treated it as such. Communication was easy and timely. Location was 20 minutes or so from town but that was exactly what we were looking for. This is the perfect place for a family. Views were spectacular. Thanks so much!
Beautiful view. Squeaky clean. Everything worked well. Awesome interior wood work. Opportunity for improvement- very steep driveway could use some grading- deep ruts developing making it a challenge to ascend.
If you are looking for a cabin with a million dollar view, look no further! This comfortable cabin is nestled in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the generous porch and cooking in the kitchen was just like cooking in my own. The owners are great communicators and we’re very responsive to questions and checked in to make sure everything was to our satisfaction when we arrived. The beds were very comfortable and everything was nice and clean! One of our favorite things about driving into community was the sweet little donkey that cheerfully greeted us from behind a rustic split rail fence. This is a wonderful place to stay and is close to many activities, such as the Biltmore in nearby Asheville and the quaint shops in downtown Waynesville, NC. Make Outlaw cabin your next mountain getaway!
Took a family trip to visit the Smoky Mtn and the Biltmore. The cabin felt like a home away from home. Very inviting and comfortable. If we’re ever that way again we’d most definitely stay again. The cabin had wonderful views, close enough to shopping, eats, etc, but far enough to feel away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The cabin was as described. Was wonderful and beautiful views. Well appointed, everything we needed and more. Homeowner was very communicative and checked in to make sure we made it in okay and also to let us know there may be some winter weather coming. They were very accomodating.
The cabin was clean and well-equipped. The owners were very helpful and checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going well.
The cabin is in a great location to be able to do many activities… hiking, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, or to just settle in and enjoy the views and solitude of the cabin.
Would definitely stay here again.
This might be the nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. It felt more like staying at a friend’s house rather than a rental. The cabin was spotless and well stocked with supplies, movies and games. It was cute, cozy and even seasonally decorated! View was breathtaking, and the hosts checked in to make sure our stay was going smoothly. I highly recommend!
The house is as advertised. Everything was clean, and check-in was easy. The road to the house has a few steep parts, but I made it without much difficulty in a front wheel drive sedan. The driveway is quite steep, but again I was able to manage in a front wheel drive car. There is the option to park at the top of the driveway, which slopes toward the house, if you are worried about getting stuck. Location is quiet and feels nice and secluded.
Second time me and my buddies have stayed here. That says a lot. The property is exsctly as advertised and the owner works hard to ensure his quests are pleased. Will use again for annual fly fishing trip .......
This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains. Quiet, secluded, with all the comforts of home. Close to waterfalls, hiking, whitewater rafting, and the shops and restaurants of nearby towns. The Outlaws are attentive hosts who go the extra mile. You and your family will love it here!
Very clean well kept property that easily accommodated or family of four. Exceptional views from inside and outside the cabin. The mountain access road is well maintained, and becomes a routine drive fairly quickly.
Beautiful classic cabin in perfect condition, with fabulous view!
Great support from the property managers to settle in quickly.
Wonderful variety of things to do in this area - no way to do it all in one week!
The cabin was a quaint, comfortable experience. The porch had great views. It was as comfortable as we could have imagined. Access was a drawback, as the gravel road was slow and extremely dusty. The driveway, as advertised, was steep and difficult to manage, although not unnavigable.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Outlaw Cabin! It was immaculate, perfect size for our family of 4, and the VIEW! Amazing! The cabin has so many little extra touches such as robes, extra toiletries, games, grocery items , blankets, candles, etc. so very thoughtful. Communication with Dane was quick and friendly. We’re already talking about coming back.
We enjoyed this cabin so much. It was very clean, check in was super easy, and our kids each had their own rooms which they loved! The view is spectacular off of the back deck and we had so much fun cooking s’mores over the outdoor fire pit. We’ll definitely be back!
Can't say enough about the view or the little things around the house that make you feel as comfortable as if you're staying in your own home! Very toddler-friendly as well (if ours was more adventurous, we would have brought a pressure-gate for the stairs).
Keep an eye out for an emailed pdf from the owner with important details for getting into the house! We missed ours but they answered our call and got us taken care of.
Thanks for a great stay!
This was a lovely cabin with plenty of privacy. It made for the perfect anniversary getaway and would be plenty spacious for a family/friends vacation.

Why they chose this property
We've always dreamed of owning a place in the mtns and love the area around Waynesville/Maggie Valley/Lake Januluska so we jumped on this cabin as soon as it was up for sale. We also love Asheville and this cabin is only 4 miles from I-40 for quick access to all Asheville offers.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is surrounded by woods with lots of wildlife viewing from the deck and a beautiful long-range mountain view. Our nearest neighbors are over 100 yds away. At the gated entrance to our community, you will be greeted by our local ambassador Jack the donkey ... :)
