Out dated. Broken pool table, and air hockey table. Leaking pipe into bottom floor. Plenty of room for large group. If you are just needing a place to sleep for a lot of people, not bad but no luxury.

We're sorry to hear that your stay didn't live up to expectations. It's important to us that all our amenities are in great shape and ready for our guests to enjoy, so we're really disappointed to hear about the pool table, air hockey table, and the leak you encountered. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about these issues, and we're already on it to get them fixed. Thanks for your understanding as we work to improve and ensure our guests have a more comfortable and enjoyable stay in the future.
BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE!! We recently stayed there the weekend of October 21-23, 2022. I wasn’t even in one of the bunk bed rooms and one of the other people in my room woke up with 22 bed bug welts. The paramedic there said he is going to have to go get some kind of treatment for that. We called in a professional and a beagle who can sniff out bed bugs. The dog found bed bugs and EGGS all over the head board and the professional confirmed they have been there for at least 5 weeks. The bunk beds also had bed bugs and to my knowledge the covers on the bed meant they have had bed bugs before and I’m sure they will again!! When we filed the complaint with the cabin they offered to give us 25% back. That is not acceptable and they really didn’t seem remorseful. If you stay here it will ruin your trip.

Jacob, we are terribly sorry for your poor cabin experience. To wake up on vacation and notice your guests' have several bug bites all over must have been so upsetting, to say the least. Then, feeling disregarded by our staff when expressing your concern is completely unacceptable. We are thankful you notified us right away, and we were able to have pest control out promptly to assess the situation. While all of our cabins are routinely checked and receive bedbug prevention treatments, unfortunately, less than 1% of our guest stays are affected annually despite our efforts. We can imagine how uncomfortable this must have been, and we hate that you all had to deal with this while on vacation. Once we received the results from pest control, we contacted you immediately to discuss our available options, and ultimately, the decision was made to stay at the cabin. While we understand the resolution we presented was not ideal, this was the most we could offer in this circumstance. Please know we care deeply for all of our guests and do not take matters like this lightly. Upon check-out, the cabin was professionally treated and has since undergone an extensive inspection to ensure the pests did not persist. We completely understand your frustration, and we, again, sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We hope this ordeal does not deter you from revisiting the Smokies for a more comfortable getaway, no matter where you may choose to stay.
I would not recommend this place to anyone searching for a Gatlinburg cabin. It is deceptively called the "Red Oak Lodge." It is anything but a lodge of any kind. We were on a trip with our church and were searching for a typical Gatlinburg cabin to take our junior and seniors to. When you look at the pictures posted you would think this is just another nice cabin in the Gatlinburg area. The reality is that they ar every selective with their pictures. The "cabin" is down a steep hill right by the street and next to a winery in the middle of town. It is not a cabin at all. It is more like a poorly kept 3 floor dormitory with one room made to look like a cabin. This property is anything but what it is made to look like by the pictures. The base floor has wood paneling and is framed and made to look like you are in a cabin. But exit that base floor and you find yourself in a creepy metallic stairwell that gives access to the various floors of the asylum like "cabin." Some of the pictures in the listed photos of the property are outright lies as well. Once you stay there it is clear that it is pictures of two different properties. And along with that, the facilities of the "cabin" are horrific. The 2nd floor bathroom started leaking sewage down below onto the first floor. There is only one sectional couch in the entire property that is extremely uncomfortable. The beds are shaky and uncomfortable made from wood that looks like it has been taped together. The bathrooms are disgusting and were disgusting when we arrived. There is nowhere in the cabin for anyone to hang out except in the main floor, but as mentioned earlier, there is literally one couch to sit on. The "cabin" says that it is basketball friendly and I can assure you that is not the case. Overall this place is a huge scam. We called and talked to Vrbo and told us there was nothing we can do in terms of any refund whatsoever. Which is a poor policy. I hope that anyone who reads this who is thinking about staying there does not. Save yourself a lot of money and some heartache. This place should be inspected, reviewed, and removed as a listing. The owners are con artist. And I mean that in the most non-dramatic and literal way. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Chandler, we hate to hear that you experienced these issues during your time at Red Oak Lodge. We completely understand your frustration with having to encounter uncomfortable, shaky furniture, along with cleanliness issues. While we wish this information was reported during your stay to ensure we could have these matters addressed, we appreciate you bringing them to our attention so that we can have the property inspected promptly. However, we did look into your concerns as far as false advertised photos, and we discovered that one of our agents explained that this property has a separate cottage with the photographed rooms, and this information is also provided on our website. We regret to hear that your stay with us was not up to your expectations, and we completely understand your hesitation to stay with us again in the future. However, we do hope that you are able to revisit the Smokies in the near future for a more enjoyable time, no matter where you may stay.
Overall, we had a great stay. There was a leak and the ping pong table did not work. Two sinks were out of order and not all showers had shower curtains. The bunk beds need rails as one of my students fell off the top bunk in the middle of the night. The location is fabulous and it is a large cabin.
Layout of the property is ideal for big groups. It was clean, spacious, and just as advertised.
Absolutely recommend. Would stay again with a large group.
We rented this cabin for our youth group. It was a great time and a nice cabin. We did have a big group of vehicles for the property and that was a little difficult with the small driveway. But we were able to make it work. Overall I would recommend it if you have a large group!
What an experience
Other than the huge hill in the back for parking we really had a great time we had enough room for parking for everybody the property itself was wonderful it was clean nice and spacious had a wonderful game room five bedrooms handicapped accessible
We had a surprise party for 2 of my kids with family and friends coming from our of town. There were almost 40 people in attendance and we all had plenty of room for everyone!
This place is HUGE!!!! It's in the perfect location if you're looking for fun. Everything is pretty much in walking distance.
