The home was perfect for our large family here for a wedding. We were able to spread out, have large family meals, cool off in the pool on hot days, and relax at the end of the days. The home is centrally located and Antonio was super responsive to our many questions.
The house was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Lupita and Justino kept the place running and made us feel very welcome. Antoni answered my questions quickly and made sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen is modern, the rooms all have AC and fans. Washer and dryer. The Hotel next door helped us arrange tours and get taxis. We had family gathered from Texas, Florida and Colorado to celebrate my dad’s 92 birthday with his cousins and his sister who live in Merida. I would recommend this place for a large group.,
My wife and I (80) were joined by 4 of our children, 3 spouses, 6 grand children (ages 21 to 11) and a one other of that younger generation. We had reseated the area well and recommend that others similarly do so to get the idea of available options. It is then important that you stay aware of what is going on in Merida since events such as the Sunday morning biking as te truly a delight. The host recommended a wonder chef to cook dinner for us every other day, providing great balance to restaurant dinning.the host was similarly most accommodimg working out various issues. The location was great and we strongly recommend the lodging.
I recently took a school trip with a group of high school to Yucatán. I found this house early on in the planning stages and booked it immediately. I used it as a selling point for the trip. It absolutely lived up to the photos. The students loved it and had so much fun there. The location is great too.
It would have been nice to know the layout of the rooms ahead of time (in terms of which rooms shared a bathroom, etc), but otherwise everything was easy upon arrival. We really appreciated being given multiple keys. The housekeepers came by regularly, which was an extra nice bonus.
There is an annoying rooster next door, so take advantage of the earplugs the host provides in the kitchen if you're a light sleeper like me.
We already miss Antonio’s place. His assistant and housekeeper were so kind, warm and gracious. The place itself exceeded expectations. So, so many details that might escape notice if you weren’t looking for them. It was really a beautiful week at the most enchanting house. The set up is nice because it offers privacy for individual families but opportunities for the extended family (or friend group) to be together. The proximity to local attractions is excellent, of course. Antonio is very responsive, kind, and understanding. Sure, there’s a neighbor rooster but it makes for some fun. Plus, Antonio provides earplugs.
We would definitely book again and miss the place already. Thanks for a beautiful week!
This place is amazing in every way, location, so clean, the manager attention was A+, The communication with Antonio (owner) was always fast and on point. I will come back to this place in a heartbeat. More beautiful than the pictures...... FIVE + STARS for sure......... Thank you for everything......
Hi Jim - I appreciate the feedback on the neighbor’s rooster. This is part of the charm and folklore of being in the historical downtown area. For a good night sleep we offer noise-blocking fans in all bedrooms, and we installed thicker glass windows. That way the noise stays outside. We hope that you enjoyed the house and Merida, otherwise!
