Welcome to The Nordic Cottage! With it's Scandinavian minimalist decor, the house reminds us of cottages we stayed at in Norway, how it got it's name! The history and charm is felt as soon as you enter, but our home has all the modern amenities you need. This one acre property, includes the main house, a guest house, barn, fire pit and outdoor stone patio. Mattapoisett town beach is just 3 miles and many great restaurants are nearby- the old seaport of New Bedford is only 9 miles away!

Wonderful weekend at farmhouse property on beautiful MA south coast

We had a wonderful time at this charming farmhouse property on the charming south coast of Massachusetts. The house has everything you need to feel at home...was able to make lots of meals in the well equipped kitchen. We also had a chance to use the fire pit which was all ready to go with lots of dried out sticks and wood. We also really appreciated the house manual with suggestions for dining in the mattapoisett area. We made it out to Turks for lunch one day after visiting the light house at Neds Point...beautiful park and AMAZING meal at Turks!
