Beautiful home 10 min walk to plaza, Ski basin 15-20min drive.Casa Bonita is a 4 Season rental! Beautiful Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Historical Events, Festivals, Museums, Historic sites, Art Shows all year round. Centrally located, walking distance to ALL of downtown. Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the U.S. Founded in 1610!
Lots of snow in the winter, great for all winter sports. Including Skiing, and Snowboarding and Cross Country. Santa Fe Ski Basin opens Thanksgiving and closes around Easter.
Check out Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce for all local Festivals: Indian Market, International Folk Festival, Spanish Art, Textile Festival, Chile and Wine Festival.

Casa Bonita has 13 foot high ceilings in Great Room . Lots of original art. Large 55 inch TV in Great Room. We have 4 other TV'S in Casa Bonita. Large wood burning fireplace in the Great room with supply of firewood on front patio.
Large fully equipped granite kitchen! The dining room seats 8 people and you can seat another 5 people at kitchen bar. We have two King beds and 4 Queen beds and a Queen sofa sleeper and very large sleeping couch. The sleeping couch and Queen Sofa Sleeper are in the Great Room. 4 bedrooms are on the main floor and the 5th bedroom with 2 queen beds and its own bathroom and TV is downstairs. All in all, there is a total of five bedrooms. The Game Room has a Hot Tub, big screen HTV, a Ping Pong Table and an exercise bike.
Outdoor patio with water pond in summer, BBQ, and table that seats 10 people. They are on the patio facing Palace Ave.

We are a 15-17 minute walk from the center of Santa Fe and lots of restaurants, bars and museums. Famous Hotels, like La Posada and La Fonda are nearby. La Posada is about a 10 minute walk from Casa Bonita. Famous restaurants like El Farol, The Compound and Geronimo's on famous Canyon Road Art District are also a 10 minute walk from Casa, across the bridge on the Santa Fe River.

Indian Market in Santa Fe is the biggest Native American art market in the U.S. It starts the third Thursday of August every year! Lots of Native Americans from all over the country; Paintings, Jewelry, pottery, sculptors. Plan to Book early! Lots of fun! We are also about a 20 minute drive from Buffalo Thunder Casino with full Las Vegas style gambling. Several other Casinos are nearby.

The annual Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque in October is a bucket list experience! You arrive just before the sunrise and watch over 300 hot air balloons take off! It is amazing! It is about 30 minutes from Santa Fe! Plan to book early! Wear a jacket, it is cool in morning.

Rafting in Summer and winery tasting also a must!

Los Alamos NUCLEAR MUSEUM is about 45 minutes from Casa Bonita. It is very interesting and has the history of the ATOM Bomb and all of the famous scientists that developed them. Oppenheimer is of course the most famous. Bonita was born there.

In the summer there is the World Famous Santa Fe Opera. It is a 15 minute drive from Casa Bonita. The Operas are some of the best in the country!

You can also go rafting on the Rio Grand River during the summer. There are also 4 golf courses around Santa Fe. There are many hiking trails around Santa Fe. There is horseback riding. You are in the Rocky Mountains!

The hosts were very welcoming in every way. They called when we first booked the stay, and then Bonnie called during our first full day there. I thought that was a wonderful touch since I've never had that happen on any other VRBO.The home with it's 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, large living room, and all bowls, plates, and kitchenware were wonderful. The host expectations were clear. We knew Santa Fe and loved that many of us could walk to Canyon Road and the Plaza from the home. We were too busy with watching the Super Bowl and Exploring Santa Fe to use the ping-pong table or the Jacuzzi, but they were nice amenities if you wanted to use them. All our bedrooms worked out perfectly for the 4 couples staying there.I can't say enough good things about this VRBO choice. It was perfect.

Wonderful Spot for Family Reunion

9 adults and 3 children travelled far and wide for a reunion in Santa Fe. Casa Bonita was the PERFECT house! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of open space for kids to play, many conversation areas for the adults to spread out. We had a wonderful visit.

My siblings and their spouses and I (group of 8) stayed in this beautiful home for a week while we explored the area and the house fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, hanging out in the spacious and comfortable living room, and playing ping pong and hot tubbing after dinner. The location is perfect - an easy 20 minute walk to the main square and close to all the galleries on Canyon Drive. We particularly loved the upscale restaurant Geronimo and recommend it to other travelers! (You need reservations for sure!) The house has beautiful art and is nicely laid out- offering privacy and quiet for the bedrooms and plenty of outdoor space to relax. Check in was easy and the cleaners were super friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Bonita is a registered assistant. She grew up in Santa Fe and we love the ambience of the city. It is the second oldest city in the United States and was the capital of the Spanish South West. It was started in the Early 1600's.

Why they chose this property

Bonita grew up in this home! We completed a $700,000 remodel several years ago and Casa Bonita is beautiful! This is one of the largest officially permitted rental homes in the Historic District of Santa Fe and the closest to the famous Plaza!

What makes this property unique

Location, Location, Location and everything is new! We are one of the only 5 bedroom, 4 bath rental homes in the historic district and only an 8 - 10 minute walk from the famous Plaza and Canyon Road. Everything is new and we have the best location in Santa Fe!! We are on famous Palace Ave! If you walk down Palace Ave. you enter the famous Plaza after a short walk. This is the center of Santa Fe and where the wagon trains would end their journey after months of travel from Missouri and Kansas on the Santa Fe Trail. This occurred from 1821 to around 1880 when the Santa Fe Rail Road reached the out skirts of Santa Fe at the town of Lamy.

Casa Bonita is only 20 - 30 minutes from the Santa Ski Basin! Great skiing from Thanksgiving until the middle of April!
