Great location
Quiet place for respite with kids. Beautiful view. There are bikers who came by, so just be mindful of that depending on when you visit and the bikers did smoke heavily when we visited the local falls but did not bother us at the house at all. Great place to stay!

Beautiful home in a great location with an amazing view. I've never seen a shower with so many options. Books about national parks were a nice touch. Everything we needed and more was provided.

Girls Getaway
Recently stayed at this cabin for a girls getaway. There was plenty of room for our group of five. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of Hood Canal through the new windows and from multiple outdoor spaces. Kitchen was well-equipped, and linens were nice. Cabin was well located to take advantage of nearby activities such as whale watching (we saw orcas and humpbacks!), and waterfall hiking (Murhut and Rocky Brook). Close to Hama Hama Farm Store where we enjoyed fresh oysters, and the town of Hoodsport with restaurants and shopping.

Peaceful getaway
Stayed here during a heat wave with a few friends and had an amazing time!!! The views from the house are incredible, it was stocked with everything we needed, and a short walk to amazing seafood at Hamma Hamma oyster co. We were pleasantly surprised to find the house had both wifi and a/c (despite the listing saying it had neither) and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Would absolutely come again!
We liked having all the comforts of home after being off-grid for a while. A shame we couldn't reach
the water from the property. The listing said you could. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous views!

This home was such a beautiful place to spend our last girls weekend together before one of us moves to another state. The perfect home to watch the sound and all the wildlife with it! The kitchen was stocked with all the things you need to cook, but was lacking on any kind of coffee, spices, or oils so make sure you stop and pick up basic cooking supplies at the grocery store in Hoodsport or at the gas station market down the street. The bathrooms are so, so nice and had lovely amenities stocked for a short visit. The fire pit and axe throwing area was a very nice touch for the outdoor space, though we were bummed we couldn't go down to the water. Overall we loved staying here and hated leaving, and I hope to stay again in the future sometime!
We contacted the management co and they never resolved any issues. The bathroom sink didn’t drain. The fridge smelled so bad of fish it ruined our food. The bedding was not washed. The windows are in bad repair and you can hardly see out of some of them.
The yard was just in poor shape and had great potential to be amazingly beautiful.
The views are stunning and this could be a great place. It’s way over priced at the condition it’s presently in.

It’s okay..
It was ok up until the mouse poop dropping from the ceiling. My kids were getting ready for bed and they started hearing mouse squeaking and then all of a sudden mouse poop started falling down from the cracks of the ceiling. We had to move the kids to the living room to sleep. The cleaning could be better as well. My son stepped on a dead wasp on the carpet in the living room. One of the bathrooms sinks need a fix because the water doesn’t drain well. Might also need to install AC in the future too due to the increase of temperatures. More people can enjoy this cabin if these issues are fixed.

The view was spectacular..as the tide was coming in last night we spotted about 30 seals feeding.
We challenged ourselves and made the trek down to the water...its a tough climb back up...
Wish the beds were more comfortable...we all felt they were way to hard.
We grilled out, also used the nicely stocked kitchen.
Our favorite was sitting in the living and watching the Eagles soar right outside the window...
We loved Hama Hama...
Hoodsport was a great destination.

wonderful!
This home is amazing. Beautifully decorated, comfortable kitchen, luxurious bathrooms, amazing view!
The front door lockbox wasn't working when we arrived but I called the number included with the entry instructions and a very gracious Vacasa employee quickly got us in using side door key box. They offered to send someone right out to fix it but we opted for using the side door during our stay.
The main bedroom has upgraded to a king size bed, which is lovely, but it was a little too hard for my old bones. A foam topper would be a nice addition.
The stairs to the beach are truly steep and not in great shape. We braved them anyway but there wasn't much beach to explore so unless you have a real reason to go down you might just enjoy the view from up top.
I loved the decor and we had fun guessing at the age of the house by some of the original appliances. However, even though the color of the couches goes perfectly with the style (orange and turquoise) the one we used the most in front of the window was far from comfortable. Luckily there are several baskets of blankets and pillows around so we were able to doctor it up. Granted, we were there to delve into our music and tend to perch on the edge of a couch to play guitar. Sitting back wasn't as bad.
Others have commented on the highway noise but we were amazed how little we heard being so close to it. Perhaps it would be worse during the summer with windows open and heavier traffic.
I never did figure out the shower! It's BIG! I did get the most important shower head working and hot but there is a plethora of heads and the only knob that was likely to control them did nothing and fell off in my hand. Also, beware, when we used the shower at the same time as filling the bath we ran out of hot water. Timing is everything!
All in all, a great place and highly recommended!

Hi, Donna! Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for providing your feedback. We have asked the homeowner to provide explicit instructions for the shower system so guests can fully utilize it. We hope you'll return someday!
This place was exactly what we were looking for; a place to unwind and recharge the batteries. We knew there was no internet and TV service and that was fine; the cell phones still worked and we brought books and DVDs. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of appliances, cooking utensils and dinnerware. Bedrooms and bathrooms are what you expect from them, very comfortable beds.
However, the best thing about the property is the view. I could have sat in front of the window all day. We did twice when it was raining hard outside all day. Lots of seals (over 50) hang out in the bay during high tide, herons and bald eagles during low tide. We brought binoculars but there were two pairs in the living room. We took paddleboards and left them at the bottom of the 100+ stairs for the week - they were fine. Close proximity to Hamma Hamma Oysters which has great food and friendly staff. There is a gas station that is walkable which you can find things you may have forgotten.
Great place if you want to get away from it all. Highly recommended.

Good home (but no wifi)
Great views, comfortable home, having a vantage of at least 100ft elevation. Unfortunately that is also a challenge to go down to the beach. A flight of nearly 100 stairs, very steep, makes a descent and an ascent a daunting process (although our kids were up and down a couple of times a day). This house is good for someone who likes to be indoor, relaxing and disconnecting from the rest of the world. There is no wifi (we overlooked when booking this house and just realized this a few days before we left). We couldn't do couple of things online, and our friend's husband didn't join us because he needed to do a few things that required internet connections. And there were times the end of the days, our four kids were tired, getting cranky, and arguing (throwing pillows at each other). One of those times, (we think) wifi connection/cable tv and some screen time would not be a bad thing.

Comfortable and as advertised which is much more than I can say for the place we stayed at after this one.
View is gorgeous, and very roomy space. Only things to consider if it’s important to you is residence doesn’t have wifi or air conditioning.

House with an amazing view of the canals
Everything about this house is great. The location. The views. The super well stocked kitchen. The floor plan. Enjoyed every bit of our week long stay here...
Biggest attraction of the area - the hood canal oysters! You can get a WA shellfish license ($17 for the year) and hunt oysters at the nearby Eagle creek (6 minutes drive from the house). The kitchen even had the shucking knives for you to use!
One minor thing - the garbage can was full to the brim when we got here - so for the first three days we couldn’t take out our garbage outside until we put out the garbage can outside on Tuesday (which is garbage day here), this didn’t feel good since we had to keep three days off stinky garbage in the house.
The other thing is that the house doesn’t have any WiFi- we came here knowing that already so wasn’t a problem for us.
In summary, had a lovely time and hope to be back again. Someday.
