This cottage was very private although other cottages were close by. We loved it being so close to the Parkway and downtown Blowing Rock. The kitchen is very small but we didn't do much cooking so it wasn't a big deal. We will most likely stay at this cottage again next year.

Nice, quiet setting in the woods. Great access to Blowing Rock as Skyland View Drive becomes South Main Street as it crosses US 321. Straight shot to center of town. Boone is only 10-15 away, north on 321 (Vally Blvd). Modest galley Kitchen, but LR/Great Room and Bedrooms are all roomy. Plenty of hot water. Plenty of outdoor space on porches.

The house was nicely decorated, had a cozy fireplace in the living room with plenty of seating, nice dining area and nicely appointed small kitchen. Very good location and parking was a bit small for us but we had three vehicles. All in all well worth the money.

We loved the Sky Laurel Cottage! It is very cute and comfortable and has a great layout for a family with teens so everyone can have their own space. It’s centrally located in Blowing Rock but on a quiet road. The kitchen is tiny, as others mention, so not where you’d stay in you want to do much cooking. We would definitely stay here again.

App State game

We stayed at Sky Laurel for the App State vs JMU game. The cottage was super clean and comfy. It was easy to get to which was nice because of the icy conditions. It’s also very close to downtown Blowing Rock and a short drive or Uber to Boone. We would definitely stay again.
