It is the third year in a row that our family has booked this amazing home in Vancouver for our summer holiday.
Located on the waterfront a short walk to the famed Granville Island Market, the sights and sounds of water craft, pedestrians and cyclists - with the beautiful Vancouver skyline and north shore mountains as a backdrop - offers a sensational vista that is ever changing throughout the day and evening. It’s like living inside a perpetual relaxation film. We are cyclists ourselves, which is why we really appreciate the proximity to the bike lane that can take us anywhere in the city. And when we get home, our bikes (and vehicle) are stored safely in the parking garage that comes along with this booking. If you are looking for peaceful and roomy big-city lodging with every convenience a home could offer, this is the place.
The place was just perfect for my stay. close to the bike path and Granville Island and nice to watch the boats and people go by from my living room. Definitely the place to stay in Vancouver.
You feel as though you are staying in a beautiful family home as a guest rather than a quickly put together rental with IKEA furniture. Very well equipped kitchen and Granville market to buy daily produce a short walk along the sea wall. Beautiful views of False creek from the living room and especially from the second floor patio which is a great place to eat meals. Both the owners and the manager are quickly responsive to any enquires. If you tire of watching the activity along the sea wall you can relax on the back patio among lush greenery and flowers. The owners care about their rental home and it shows.
Our family stayed in this place in 2021 and it was so great that we went for a second round in 2022.
This house is everything one could hope for in Vancouver: instant access to the extensive network of bike trails, strolling distance to Granville Island market, picturesque scenes of an active waterfront at all times of day & night, a longer walk to concert & sports venues, secure parking and a home that meets every need a family might encounter.
The owner & manager are most friendly and every part of the experience is easy.
After only two visits (in 2021 & 2022) it already feels like our second home.
We actually miss it, already.
Our only hesitation in writing this review is that the property is so fabulous that we worry it won’t become available next year.
We are grateful to have found this gem.

About the host

We are a retired couple, splitting our time between this home in Vancouver, a house in Courtenay, BC (VRBO#335547), and travelling. We raised our family in this home, and grew to love the community and amenities of False Creek.
Why they chose this property
This property is in the heart of the City but is very quiet, with no traffic noise. The proximity to shopping, transit ansd recreational/entertainment/dining opportunities is excellent. Downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, West End etc is 20 minute bike ride on good quality safe paved bike paths (no cars), or a 15 minute bus ride. There are even a foot passenger ferry service across False Creek to downtown.
What makes this property unique
This is a fully equipped family home, where you will have every comfort and convenience. You can instantly feel at home here, relaxing with a wood fire and enjoying the ever changing view of the waterfront, boat traffic and seawall walk. Cook gourmet meals with the fabulous produce from nearby Granville Island market and enjoy your dinner with a glass of wine on your private deck with a full City/mountain panorama.
