Built in 1968 by a renowned Florida architect, the 4 bedroom, 3 bath beachfront home is located on a tree-canopy-lined road in the Sarasota County portion of Manasota Key. Comfortable family living is the highlight of this uniquely designed home that feature three "pods" adjoined by screened porches. Open Gulf-front decks allow for views of stunning sunsets, catching cool breezes and relishing in the sounds of the surf. The main pod comprises an open floor plan family/dining/kitchen with a wood-burning fireplace. The master pod includes king accommodations, a private bath, and a private porch. Three guest bedrooms comprise the third pod: the first is a beachfront second master suite with a queen bed and ensuite bath; a second room features a queen bed and two bunks; and a the third bedroom includes two sets of bunk beds for youth. A great home for the family to gather or for couples to get away from it all. Additional 12% tax, cleaning and damage deposit required.

My father architect James Jennewein purchased Manasota Key property in 1965. He talked two friends into building three homes on that property and then created a single design for all three. Years have added uniqueness to each of the homes, but viewing them from the beach one can see their shared parentage. Amazing to all that visit is the orientation of the three houses to one another; while close, visitors cannot see or hear those in the other houses from the spacious front decks.

My brothers and I now own the home that we lived in for many summers. Generations of our family use the house throughout the year, which is why it has limited availability. We may be choosey with requests and/or limit the number of occupants because the home includes trappings of our family's beach house history.
