About this property
Pictured Rocks, snowmobiling, ice caves, biking, hiking, skiing, waterfalls,etc!
Welcome to the Coalwood Trail Duplex, conveniently located "downtown" in the quaint and quiet village of Chatham. The Coalwood Trail Duplex is your home base for everything the Central Upper Peninsula has to offer, including:
In spring / summer / fall:
* Pictured Rocks (golfing, hiking, kayaking, adventure & sightseeing boats)
* Au Train River (canoeing & kayaking)
* Valley Spur (hiking & biking)
* Laughing Whitefish Falls
* Red Barn weddings
* Fall color tours
In the winter:
* Valley Spur (cross-country skiing & snow biking)
* Ice caves in Eben
When you're not out enjoying everything the area has to offer, park your car, ATV, snowmobile, bike — or dogsled! — and walk to the Village pub/restaurant, grocery store, bank, post office, or ice cream shoppe.
The Coalwood Trail, also known as Snowmobile Trail #8, runs immediately behind the building and alongside the Slapneck Creek. Explore on foot, bike, ATV, or snowmachine.
One of two ground-level units in the building, this newly remodeled unit is fully equipped with all the amenities of home, including:
* Well-stocked kitchen, with all the dishes and cooking equipment you could need, as well as a host of small appliances including: standard coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker (bring your K cups!), bagel toaster, and smoothie blender
* Entrance hall with plenty of space to store your outerwear and gear
* Large-screen cable television
* Quiet and comfortable bedrooms overlooking Coalwood Trail
* In-unit laundry
* Keyless entry
If you're part of a larger group, you can rent both units in the duplex and sleep up to 18 across five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
