Home away from home. This is a peaceful, friendly neighborhood. The house has absolutely everything needed and provides a tranquil respite at the end of the day. We will absolutely return.
We were really pleased with unit, neighborhood, and owner experience. The neighborhood felt very safe and had lots of quality entertainment/conveniences within walking distance, especially for such a residential neighborhood.
First, I want to say that Dustin is an amazing host. The property had everything we needed and it being up to date (modern), made it even better for us. Street parking was plentiful! We loved Dustin place so much that we actually wanted to stay one more day. Sadly, we had to head back home to Virginia. Next time we visit, Dustin place will certainly be first choice.
The description was precise. The place was comfortable, clean and secure. The owner was responsive when I had basic questions. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. Climate control was great as well. 5 star accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Yosefi. They took great care of the unit and were very pleasant communicators. We look forward to hosting them again in the future.
This was our third stay at this property over the years, and it is consistently excellent. Updated kitchen and bath, while still reflecting the historic details and fun NOLA vibes. Always spotless and well maintained. Parking is never an issue, and we easily walk to neighborhood spots like Parkway and Nolita. Dustin is fantastic to work with, and we look forward to staying here in the future!
This duplex was just as described in the listing and was very clean. The neighborhood is nice, I went on lots of long walks and enjoyed looking at the houses. The location is very good, walkable to City Park, lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Awhile ago another guest suggested having available some flyers or information from local attractions, I agree that would be a useful addition.
My daughter married in Saturday in a huge week long celebration. There were many clothes changes, hair and makeup sessions for myself and daughters, and one afternoon was spent make table floral arrangements. The space was comfortable and convenient to all of our venues. We enjoyed it very much
This property is perfectly situated to walk to Jazz Fest.
The walk was beautiful with residences with fragrant gardens
that bordered the sidewalk.
It was quite safe.
We also enjoyed a walk to the nearby Mayhew Bakery for coffee and pastries. We walked to the Broad side for live music as well.
The property was perfect, exactly as pictured. I enjoyed a coffee on a quiet , rainy morning ... so relaxing. Never turned on the TV.
I would strongly recommend this property for a couple's stay
in New Orleans.
Fantastic property in a great neighborhood with walking access to many fun locations.
Walking the bike trail that leads almost all the way to downtown (2miles) and right into the French quarter.
Would like to have a welcome brochure with some close offerings for those staying on property as well as answering any questions i.e. can I walk around with a drink? Yes but in a plastic cup.
My wife and I loved the ability to come back from downtown and have a space to relax away from the busy areas. We loved sitting on the back porch and enjoying the amazing winter weather.
We will definitely be looking to rebook when we plan our return trip.

Immaculately clean, charming place for a quick stay in NOLA. Great communication with the host, who answered questions we had prior too booking. Home was fully equipped, including linens, washer/dryer supplies, and Keurig pods! Bed was very comfy, and the area was quiet with an amazing little bakery on the next corner. Would absolutely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Dustin
Hi! We are your hosts, Krista & Dustin. We are locals and absolutely love New Orleans. We can talk about it all day so never hesitate to reach out to ask any question you have about the city. We really enjoy being hosts and providing people with a safe, clean and charming space to be in while they enjoy what the city has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This property has all the New Orleans traditional charm but is a brand new renovation so without the old house issues. We kept the most interesting pieces of the property's history, like the 100+ year old floors, original fireplace and repurposed the original beams to build the loft and rafters but you'll also experience modern day luxury with the brand new kitchen, paint, central AC, appliances and fixtures.
As true locals, we can tell you there's no better (and real) part of NOLA. There's a bayou, a local water way, right up the street with a walking path around it. There's no other bayou to be seen in the city. We have a bustling energy around here with local restaurants, cafes and bars. Walk the neighborhood to see the sights and you may stumble across a live brass band along the bayou- it's just another Tuesday around here. You may see the neighbor playing the piano on his porch or riding his bike with his flute. Don't forget City park, one of the top 10 largest national parks is a walk away. You can grab a local order of beignets inside the park while you sit next to a pond with ducks passing by and oak trees hanging over your head.
If you need breakfast and a coffee go see Diane at Llamara café, for dinner go to Santa Fe and tell them we sent you but but for a drink go to the neighborhood bar Pals- where all of the locals go. It's that kind of neighborhood. Welcome to NOLA!
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location. This is the dreamiest part of New Orleans that only the most seasoned NOLA travelers know about.
