The location is perfect! Historic house with great back yard/patio and pool. House is furnished very well. Jesse and Jamey were awesome to talk to and cared about our experience. We have found our place to stay in New Orleans going forward for sure.
I would definitely stay here again! Perfect set up for 2 adults. The bar across the street was pretty loud Friday night and Saturday night until about 1 or 2am, but we didn't hear it other nights. That just comes with the territory if you want a great location.
Hosts are charming, friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and a source of terrific recommendations. The place is exactly what New Orleans should be, and the patio oasis in the back is gorgeous! We lounged poolside enjoying the weather and found ourselves in surprisingly private surroundings: the neighbors are there somewhere, but where? A block from Frenchmen music but somehow quiet, a miracle!
We LOVED staying here! All the comforts of home, including an awesome pool, walking distance to plenty of restaurants, the French Quarter & Frenchmen Street.
We had a good stay and would stay there again. Excellent location for Frenchman Street and Bourbon Street. Jessie and Jamie are very nice and keeps the house clean, with a private pool area out back.
Beautiful old house one block from Esplanade, two blocks from all the action on Frenchman Street. Beautiful antique furnishings. Kitchen well equipped and stocked with plenty of staples, good coffee, a twelve pack of beer and a big jug of Pinot Grigio. Double parlor, plenty of dining space, could easily accommodate four people. The courtyard and pool are shared with the owners; great for morning coffee or evening cocktails.
Had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was beautiful, clean and much more spacious than the pictures made it look. Perfect location walkable to everything you need. Hosts were extremely kind and helpful! Very grateful they allowed my family and I to stay in their home.
This is our second time staying here during Family Weekend in NOLA and we can't wait to come back next year. The location is great for those wanting to have all the fun of Bourbon Street, but not be right on Bourbon. The house is adorable with every amenity you might want or need and the owners are simply the best.
Very clean, comfortable, and everything in its place. Antique furniture and great architectural design. I did not need a car. The location is walking distance to the heart of New Orleans.
Great stay
Our stay was excellent, Jesse and Jamey were incredible host! We had to print our tickets out for a concert and when asked if they would be able to do that for us, they gladly, without any hesitation printed our tickets using their personal printer. I appreciated their great hospitality and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Jesse and Jamey for everything!!
The hosts were extremely pleasant and responsive. The house is spacious, and the courtyard is idyllic. If you like music, you cannot beat the location to Frenchmen Street, which is a few minutes away. It is just outside the French Quarter, but you can very easily walk there as well. A nice bakery and fabulous restaurants are also nearby. This was the best VRBO experience I’ve had.
If you love, New Orleans, Jesse and Jamie’s place is perfect for immersing yourself in New Orleans culture! The house is beautiful, comfortable and close to our favorite music venues. The courtyard is like your personal green space in the middle of a big city. If we are lucky enough to get back to New Orleans, we will be back. Thanks!
Jamey and Jesse were awesome. They greeted us, gave us a quick lay of the land, and then left us to a historic double shotgun house. The next day they checked in with us, and offered to let our dog have pool time with their dogs.
The house was quiet and so relaxing, exactly what we needed. Also, you’re 1-2 blocks from the French Quarter - about a 7 min walk to the highlights of Bourbon and Royal. Our favorite? Frenchman - 4-5 blocks away with live music.
Great food, and Jamey and Jesse won’t steer you wrong if you ask for their recommendation.
We’re already talking about when we can swing it to return.
Great attentive hosts who were available for any questions. Perfect location for meandering down to Frenchman street for all the jazz clubs. Beautiful, clean antique double shotgun house with a gorgeous property! We would definitely stay again!
A new favorite we'd like to keep to ourselves.... Jesse's and Jamie's place was in the perfect spot. Close enough to the French Quarter for a nice, short walk and far enough for peaceful days and nights away from noise. The home was much larger than pictures show and had so much quaint New Orleans character. The back patio/pool/fountain area was lovely. It was a little too chilly to fully enjoy on this trip, unfortunately. An added bonus was the hot water. There was plenty of it and always hot. Nice big stacks of towels, hand towels, and wash clothes, too. Jesse and Jamie were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you for a great time and for letting us enjoy your beautiful home.
After spending long days of walking around, exploring, and being around crowds of people (french quarter, garden district, museums, etc), it was really nice to land here at the end of the day... or even just to relax and recharge in peace for a bit before heading out again for a little night life! The house is a quick 6 block walk to the bustling area of the french quarter or nearest street car station & just 2 blocks to Frenchman St. You'd never know how close you are to everything with how secluded the property feels. The courtyard/garden in back is stunning and so peaceful that you'll forget you're in the city. The home inside is quite charming - with a focus on preserving original design and historical architecture - but with all the modern conveniences. The home's hosts were extraordinarily attentive, friendly and responsive - but completely unobtrusive. There were so many amenities provided and extra thought put into a guest's needs it almost felt like our own little private hotel. We would be more than happy to stay here again in the future, and would recommend the property to anyone considering it!
Location, Location, Location! We are two blocks from Frenchman Street and one block from the Bourbon Street/French Quarter. We are a short walking distance to everything so if flying in no need to rent a car during your stay.
