Very quiet and sunny apartment in good weather, in the center of Paris in the classified Passage du Ponceau, 5 minutes walk from the Montorgueil district and the Marais, popular for their restaurants, bars and shops
Close to theaters, numerous shops, the Beaubourg center, department stores, museums and several metro/RER and bus lines. You can also do many things on foot.
Aladdin's apartment bears his name because a cat named Aladdin lived there very happily with his mistress, his entire life, from 2002 to 2019 (17 years). His favorite playground was the roof of the Passage du Ponceau, accessible from the living room of the accommodation. His favorite nanny was Jacqueline, an old lady you might meet in the stairwell, living on the upper floor.
Ideally for 5 people, or even 6 people if there are children:
- 1 bed for 2 people (140 x 190) - 1 sofa bed for 2 people (140 x 190) - 1 futon for one person (or 2 children) (120 x 190)
- 1 bathroom with 1 bathtub and 2 sinks - Separate toilet

We had a lovely stay in Aladdin's house. An ideal location for seeing all the main sights and more in Paris. Located in a busy, vibrant area of Paris, the apartment provides quiet solitide after a busy day. With grocery stores very close and easy walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Highly recommend this apartment.

Thank you Maria.
There are in fact no AC in this flat but there are 4 column fans for 4 rooms, and in one of the bedroom th temperature is always cool as this is on a small courtyard.
The property is very clean, has its own kitchen, and is large enough not to feel cramped with several people. It is located within walking distance to Notre Dame, though it is a walk. Overall, would definitely recommend.
Lovely apartment in a super area. Just two of us stayed at the property; we had lots of space. Host was easy to reach and helpful. Location is directly across from the Metro which was very convenient. Huge selection of restaurants etc in the area… walkable to where ever you want to go… or a few Metro stops away from your destination. Convenient grocery options nearby. Would stay here again.

Great location but had finicky entry door locks and no hot water in the shower. It was reported but never fixed. Entrance reeked of cigarette smoke. We were not compensated for the inconvenience.
The property was quite comfortable for 3 of us. The online description doesn’t make it clear that there are the equivalent of 4 flights of stairs and that the single is little more than a mattress on the floor. The kitchen is well equipped.

Hello Tom,
I'm really sorry to learn that you have not seen that the flat was on the 2,5th floor withour an elevator. I apologize for that.
You are right ; the bed in the second bedroom is pretty close to the floor, as this is a futon as mentionned in the ad. However in order to improve the comfort of the bed, the owner as added a mattress topper.
Take care.
We spent 10 days at Valerie’s Flat. We had everything we needed, groceries, Monoprix and Metro 5 minutes away. It was very quiet and we slept well. Valerie was very good at communication. She returned text in just a few hours. We would certainly use her flat upon our return to Paris.

This apartment is easy to locate and easy to set as your home base as you visit Paris. We were a family of four, mom, dad and two adult sons. The apartment has two bedrooms and a convertible sofa. You will be sharing the bathroom(s). One has a toilet and sink, the other has two sinks and shower/tub combo. Be sure to adjust the temperature of the water as you arrive, it will be set to Luke warm on arrival. Overall, the apartment worked out for us. If you are looking for two bedrooms you already know it is hard to find an affordable option in a good location, this fits those requirements.

Absolutely quiet accommodation in a residential area
The communication with Valerie was very nice and informative. You shouldn't be confused that the specific access data is only sent the day before your arrival because the keys are in a safe at the entrance and she doesn't want to pass on this information too early. But it works reliably. We felt good. Of course it's not luxury accommodation, but it's absolutely good for two people. Even four people can get along if they know each other well.
We had a pleasant stay at this apartment in the heart of Paris. The location is very convenient, situated near the metro and close to various shops and attractions, making it easy to explore the city.
While the property isn’t luxurious, it offers reasonable value for the price. We appreciated that it's a smoke-free property, although we did notice a constant smoke smell from the stairway.
One thing to clarify, the property description mentions one bathroom with a bathtub/shower and another with a bathtub. but we found that there is actually one bathroom with a bathtub/shower (without a toilet) and a small bathroom with just a toilet (without a bathtub).
Despite these minor details, we had a good experience during our stay.
Super location, next to a couple of Metro stations. it is located 2.5 levels above ground so be ready for some stair climbing, especially with heavy bags like in my case
Place is mostly clean but floor is a bit damaged and signs of use are visible in walls and bathroom
I had a couple of issues with some lights that didn't turn on and the dishwasher didn't work properly, I guess that was also why many plates and glasses were not very clean when I arrived and had to clean before use. Administrator apologized as she had an accident and could not supervise the place
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this apartment in the heart of Paris.
The good:
The property is centrally located near the metro and a block away from St. Denis as well as being close to Montorgueil and the Marais in the opposite direction.
Valerie was a good, communicative host that helped with anything that came up
The apartment is clean and has all the things you need for your stay.
Could be better:
Bedding and linens were a bit tired with some stains - should be replaced
Photos make it look like there are two bathrooms - in fact there's only one jack and jill bathroom
If you're going in the summer, be prepared to be hot. There's no AC here but instead a few fans.
Mattresses aren't particularly comfortable and would do well with an upgrade
Again - we enjoyed our stay here and the property is well managed with a great location. A few minor touches would make this a 5 star spot.

Hello Jason,
Thanks Jason for your comment.
I am surprised to learn that the bedding deserves to be changed Jason because the mattresses in the 2 bedrooms are practically new, having been changed in July 2023 and were purchased from a bedding professional for hotels. In addition, the comfort of the large bedroom has been further improved with a mattress topper.
Regarding the bathroom, I'm really sorry about that. There is actually only one bathroom. This is an error on the part of the platform. I have reported the error and hope it will be corrected as soon as possible.
There is actually no air conditioning in this accommodation because it is prohibited in the co-ownership to preserve the tranquility of the neighborhood and for ecological reasons.
We therefore offer 4 column fans to try to overcome this.
Best wishes.
Valérie

Les Miserables
This place is a stagnant boxOne cannot open the windows as you are overwhelmed by restaurant exhaust or the filth blowing in from Passage du Ponceau repairs. It is overcrowded with little useless Knick nacks of “furniture” I repeatedly banged my shin on the edge of the bed trying to squeeze in between the junk column that holds NOTHING near the radiator. We must climb dangerously small steps up a smoke choked stairwell to open uncooperative locks. The toilet was the final straw. We had to move to a hotel around the corner and used the pace as a laundry. no dryingThe plumber worked almost 2 hours or more. The floors were filthy and sticky and there was a wet mop in the closet with the vacuum. Was I or my wife not supposed to need the toilet for that time. The “linens” you’re so proud of were washed and given to us off white and rough dried. The bedsheets are like something out of a college dorm room. The pillow shams won’t stay on the pillows and when it came off we SAW what she thinks passes as a pillow! They should be ashamed of how that space has been allowed to be the “catch all” for junk overruns. It looks like a “bad lsd trip”.I’d have a talk with the cigarette addict on 1 about a.) what he has done to his health b.) what he is doing to every other person’s health that must breathe that garbage and c.) what an impact it is going to have on your property. I’d also stop using “fly by night” “plumbers”AVOID THIS RENTAL. SHE COUNTS THE SHEETS OF TOILET PAPER!
Bonjour Thomas,
Merci Thomas.
