Encompass yourself in the history of Charleston by staying in this newly renovated 1890`s single house. The Madison Compound offers guests all the aesthetic features of a Charleston Single House from it large Piazzas, private roof top deck and original fireplaces to the modern touches you need to make your Charleston retreat comfortable and convenient.

Enjoy a brand new house opened in 2021 with all new furniture, appliances, and fixtures located just blocks from Upper King Street.

The use of this entire compound space includes the main 4 bedroom house and 2 rear executive private studio suites along with private roof deck and outdoor grilling patio. The kitchen/living room displays a large island to gather around as well as a spacious living room with a 75` TV. There are 6 private bedrooms each with their own private baths displaying large showers with multiple shower heads. A vacation rental the comfortably houses a group is this size is a unique find.

This space is also listed as a single 4-bedroom single house without the rear 2 executive suites which are also listed separately if you are looking to downsize your party.

The communication during your stay will be initiated on the day of check-in via a `check-in group text` with our entire management team so that there will be someone available at all times for any emergencies or questions that arise. This message will maintain check in instruction and will serve as the best point of contact throughout your stay for any of your needs. If you do not have a domestic cell phone don`t worry, we can simply message through the platform app which will be monitored regularly.

The setting is the historic Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood which is considered the `gateway` to the peninsula boasting just the right mix of Neighborhood and City. King, Cannon and Spring Street are dotted with boutiques, vintage stores, and bakeries. Trendy eateries serve up everything from comforting southern fare to the best seafood you can find. Upper King Street is just blocks away and is home to the best nightlife, hip bars, craft beers, and specialty house cocktails.

Everything was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook in. It was also in walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. Best feature is each bedroom had it's own bathroom and the home decor was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

The Madison Compound was a great choice for our group. House was spacious and clean. All bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom. All bathrooms were good size as well. Deck was nice, but didn’t get to use it due to the Charleston heat and humidity... and that it's restricted to use after 9pm. Beds were very comfortable. Couch in Great Room is comfy as well. Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this house! We have a large family and booked the house for our parents 30th anniversary and we were not disappointed. We had plenty of space and loved how every room had its own bathroom! Parking is a bit tricky but that is likely the case anywhere in the downtown area! We would recommend anyone who’s interested and has a large family to book this home! Also the hosts are extremely helpful and kind! Thanks for a great experience!

Great place for a girls trip

The house was beautiful and everyone having their own private bath was great! There are only 5 seats in the kitchen so if you plan to eat in (and the weather outside is bad), one person has to stand to eat. Overall, it was a fabulous house! We would definitely return!

We had an amazing stay! There were 6 of us on a family girls trip, everyone had their own room and bathroom so it was perfect as we rented the entire house which included two additional suites. The suites include a microwave and washer/dryer. The location is excellent, quiet street, close to everything. The layout of the house works great, 2 bedrooms downstairs and 4 upstairs. Plenty of room in the kitchen and living room for all of us. The sandwich/grocery across the street has delicious food. The Bad Bunnies coffee shop is just 2 doors down, great coffee and pastries. FYI, it doesn't open til 7:30 am. The communication with the host was fantastic, answered texts right away. This is a perfect house for a group and families. We would most definitely stay here again.
